The PMR President received American Embassy delegation

Meeting of the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky and representatives of the American embassy was held at the presidential executive office. The delegation that arrived in Tiraspol was led by US Ambassador to Moldova Kent D. Logsdon. The PMR Minister of Foreign Affairs Vitaly Ignatiev also took part in the discussion from the Pridnestrovian side.

The interlocutors noted that the previous meeting was held in July this year. There are no positive changes at the same time in most of the problematic aspects that were discussed then, according to Vadim Krasnoselsky. The negotiation process is still in a state of stagnation. The PMR President called inadequate and creating unfavorable conditions for negotiations the actions of Moldova in the field of energy, in terms of observing the rights of citizens to free movement and in economic relations. Vadim Krasnoselsky drew attention to the fact that there is no consistency in the actions of Moldovan politicians, but they have a carte blanche to aggravate the situation. The PMR President noted the importance of participation in the negotiations of all representatives of the "5 + 2" format to prevent escalation, especially in the current difficult geopolitical circumstances.

The American diplomat in turn expressed his desire and readiness to discuss a wide range of issues of concern to both sides, assuring that he welcomes the preservation and expansion of the dialogue. Kent Logsdon said that he had planned a visit to the Pridnestrovian State University, in particular to the Center for the English Language and American Culture, established at Pridnestrovian State University in 2013. The ambassador noted the infrastructural changes that took place at the university, saying that he had the opportunity to evaluate the external renovation, and today he will see how the university has changed after a major overhaul inside.

The meeting participants agreed to continue interaction and maintain contacts in a working order after detailed exchange of views on topical issues.
