The President is on a working visit to Moscow. The purpose of the trip is to discuss further interaction between Pridnestrovie and the Russian Federation, existing cooperation in various areas and prospects for the implementation of new joint projects.
The President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic pays special attention to the relations of Pridnestrovians with the deputies representing the interests of the republic's residents in the State Duma. Regular meeting took place today, this time with the Deputy Chairman of the Duma Committee for CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots Artem Turov in Moscow. Vadim Krasnoselsky expressed gratitude to the Russian parliamentarian for the support of the Pridnestrovian people in an important electoral period – during the presidential elections on the 12th of December. The situation with Moldova's non-admission of Russian political and public figures to Pridnestrovie was discussed. They talked about the different views of the republics on the true manifestation of democracy, as well as the fate of the negotiation process. They focused on the topic of peacekeeping. The interlocutors are confident that the current format of the peacekeeping mission on the Dniester is effective and the only one possible in the current realities. The importance of Russian participation in preserving peace on the Pridnestrovian land is unconditional and undeniable, emphasized Vadim Krasnoselsky.
The participants of the meeting discussed plans and prospects for cooperation between Pridnestrovie and Russia along economic and humanitarian lines. They identified the existing ideas and developments regarding the holding of expanded meetings and round tables in the future, both in Pridnestrovie and in Russia, including at the site of the Official Representation of Pridnestrovie in Moscow.
