Vadim Krasnoselsky, the PMR President:
Assuming the office of President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, first of all I want to thank everyone who came to the polling stations, who voted for the stability and development of Pridnestrovie. I thank the representatives of the Central, territorial and precinct election commissions, volunteers, law enforcement officers, heads of state administrations for preparing and holding open, fair, democratic elections – which was confirmed by international observers, despite all the efforts of external forces in an effort to prevent the triumph of the choice of the Pridnestrovian people.
I want to emphasize that winning the elections is not my personal success. This is an assessment of the performance of the entire management team. Thank you for your solidarity and trust. Five years ago in this hall, assuming the office of President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, I spoke about the importance of consolidating society, branches of power, stabilizing the economy, strengthening law and order and defense, developing culture, education and science, strengthening spirituality, fulfilling the state's social obligations - the principles based on the rich history of Pridnestrovie, on the experience of previous generations, on the experience of the founders of the republic, on respect for the feat of the Pridnestrovian people to defend Motherland – both during the Great Patriotic War and during the struggle for the independence of Pridnestrovie. I ask you to honor the memory of the fallen and deceased defenders of the Fatherland with a minute of silence.
The country's development concept remains the same. What once seemed impossible is now the norm of life. We have managed to build and reconstruct dozens of kindergartens and schools, health care facilities, social correctional institutions, update infrastructure, build new sports facilities and recreational facilities during 5 years. We attract investments in the economy, create new jobs, and fulfill social obligations. We did all this together. This is not just a slogan, it is the Pridnestrovian reality. Today we open the next page in the history of Pridnestrovian, and what it will be depends on each of us. I emphasize that the course of movement of the state remains the same, and it is determined by the Development Strategy of the PMR for 2019-2026. The strategy is a roadmap that defines state interests, goals, objectives and measures taken in the field of foreign and domestic policy aimed at the development of the country. As before, all our activities will be based on three principles - political stability, economic self-sufficiency, and social justice. They are based on a clear and understandable state idea. Its essence is to strengthen the independence of Pridnestrovieу with a focus on gaining international recognition and implementation of the results of the 2006 referendum; continuation of the formation of the community "Pridnestrovian people", which includes representatives of different nationalities; as well as building a socially oriented state with a market economy.
I direct the entire system of public administration, every civil servant to honest, responsible, productive, selfless work for the benefit of the people of Pridnestrovie. It is necessary based on the Development Strategy to highlight the key areas of the state's life in order to achieve political stability, economic self-sufficiency and social justice. I will briefly focus on the main directions.
Politics and International Relations. We are talking about consolidation, high-quality dialogue of all branches of government and internal stability as fundamental factors in the successful upholding of Pridnestrovian positions in the international arena, about deepening cooperation with our strategic partner Russia, about interaction with all interested states and organizations in the name of peace in our land.
An important sphere is further strengthening of defense, security and law and order. In the social sphere – the development of medicine and support for people with disabilities, the continuation of the fight against the pandemic, infrastructural transformations in the health sector, the development of the material and technical base in the education, science, culture, sports, the creation of the Pridnestrovian State Museum, the development of the youth movement, support for innovation and patriotic education.
Among the priority tasks, of course, is the development of the economy, attracting investment, creating new jobs, continuing the program of capital investments, supporting business and entrepreneurial activity, strengthening the “Buy Pridnestrovian!” project , the development of new technologies for growing and processing agricultural products. The strengthening of regional policy, the development of rural areas, an increase in the level of provision of housing and communal services, the modernization of energy supply networks, an improvement in transport accessibility, and the development of park culture are also significant. In the sphere of social protection – is the fulfillment by the state of all social obligations. Among the priorities are increasing the size of pensions and wages of public sector employees, improving the welfare of citizens. There are many tasks, and they are all understandable and achievable, but only under one condition – joint work. Together we must make Pridnestrovie modern, strong and self-sufficient. Such people are respected and recognized. This is a common cause of the entire Pridnestrovian people.
I would like to express special gratitude to the leadership and people of the Russian Federation for their support and successful implementation of the peacekeeping mission on the Dniester.
Dear Pridnestrovians, I am convinced that we will cope with all the tasks and challenges of the modern world order. Love your Motherland, love Pridnestrovie!
With all my heart I wish you all health, prosperity and peace – peace to Pridnestrovie!
