Vadim Krasnoselsky met with representatives of public organizations

The PMR President continues the practice of holding meetings with the public. Representatives of public organizations and the expert community of the republic have gathered at the discussion table in the House of Official Receptions of the Administration of the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic today. The interlocutors of the President were the leaders of the "Council of Young Diplomats" autonomous non-profit organization, the "Union of Journalists of Pridnestrovie" Republican Public Organization, the "Regional Development Agency" non-profit partnership, the Public Chamber of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, the All-Pridnestrovian People's Forum, the Bar Association of Pridnestrovie, the Heirs of Victories youth sports and patriotic club and other associations. The Head of the PMR Presidential Administration Sergey Belous, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Galina Antyufeeva, and the PMR Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev were invited to the conversation. The agenda included issues reflecting the state of affairs within the republic, the situation abroad, the impact of events taking place in the world on the life and security of the republic. Starting the conversation, Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized how important this kind of exchange of information, opinions and proposals is for him. The President expressed hope that the meeting would have a dialogue format.

The President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic congratulated the interlocutors and in their person all Pridnestrovians on the 78th anniversary of the liberation of a number of settlements of the republic from the German invaders. They recalled history, talked about the importance of its preservation, and drew historical parallels in this context. The topic of relations with Moldova was not left without attention: aspects of thirty years ago and today's realities were discussed. There was an opinion that the “5 + 2” format is unlikely to meet in the coming months, while the meeting participants are sure that this time should not be wasted, moreover, it may turn out to be a period of new opportunities based on greater independence in decision-making. They discussed geopolitics and ensuring the security of the Pridnestrovian people. Public activists highly appreciate the balanced approach of the Pridnestrovian leadership to foreign policy. They mentioned COVID-19, citing the success of the fight against the coronavirus pandemic in Pridnestrovie as an example of the independence and self-sufficiency of the republic. They noted during the conversation the role of the media in shaping public opinion. It was noted that Pridnestrovian journalism is distinguished by the high quality of the disseminated information, the accuracy of stating facts and describing events. One of the most important tasks of the mass media of the republic is the formation of a correct idea of ​​the Pridnestrovian people – multinational, peaceful, true to its principles and able to overcome any difficulties thanks to internal cohesion.

The meeting participants focused on the topic of preserving the historical and cultural heritage as a basic element of statehood. It was noted that large-scale work has been carried out in this direction in recent years, which continues to gain momentum. They talked about the restored and created facilities, that this area is becoming more interesting and accessible for Pridnestrovians and guests of the republic.

The conversation of the President with representatives of public organizations in the format of a tea party lasted about two hours. The interlocutors noted that the activity of the discussion and the variety of topics is an indicator of how important a direct dialogue is for both sides.
