The PMR President visited the TSV studio. An almost hour-long conversation on politics, economics, and the social sphere took place at this site. The initiator of the meeting is the receiving party. The interlocutors of Vadim Krasnoselsky are the journalists Igor Avrenev and Vadim Bulatovich.
Igor Avrenev: Our guest is the PMR President Vadim Nikolaevich Krasnoselsky. There are a lot of questions. Let's start with politics. This is an important issue, especially now. More recently, another change has taken place in Moldova; they already have the third government this year. There was a coalition, now there is no. All the time, something is changing, including the composition of expert groups. At the same time, we are trying to conduct a dialogue with them, to resolve some issues. There are a lot of them. How to ask these questions, with whom can they be resolved in such a situation, when we talked with someone, then we need to talk with another, then with the another? There is no stability.
Vadim Krasnoselsky: there is already a joke: “What will be the new Government in Moldova? Old". The deck of power is shuffled. These or other pictures come to the fore, then to the middle of the deck, then to the background. All faces are recognizable, this, on the one hand, is probably good. However, this instability is amending the negotiation process. When three governments change in a year in a state, it is very bad. These are new people, officials, negotiators. In this regard, it is very difficult for us to maneuver, to have time to negotiate with someone. While I agreed with someone, they changed the person, another came, again all over again. It is very difficult. Nevertheless, the other day I met with Mr. Neukirch, the current Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova, and I just spoke about this. We need to develop immunity from political instability in Moldova and conduct political dialogue, hearings in the 5 + 2 format, regardless of the electoral trends in Moldova. They will not end in the short term and in the long, will not end. There is a split in society. We must accept this as an axiom and act in these conditions.
Vadim Bulatovich: You are talking about political immunity to what is happening on the right bank. The international community at one time worked out a formula when one of the contracting parties is virtually incapable of negotiating or making decisions, then the great powers, the parties that are guarantors and intermediaries, assume obligations. So it was in Kosovo and Serbia, they swore for a long time, they could not decide how to conduct communications, in the end, they gave Kosovo a separate code. Maybe we should tell the intermediaries and guarantors: "If they can’t, maybe you will start working in their place?"
Vadim Krasnoselsky: As for the 5 + 2 format, we have guarantors Russia and Ukraine, OSCE mediators, observers from the European Union and the USA. In the context of political instability in Moldova, in my opinion, the format is becoming even more important. In no case should one stagnate or think about its localization or destruction. Such movements take place, and I see them. I work with all guarantors, mediators, and observers in order, firstly, to prevent the destruction of the 5 + 2 format, and secondly, that all parties to the negotiation process take upon themselves obligations for the implementation of previously reached agreements. We have a lot of new agreements on the agenda, but the old ones must be implemented. From our side everything is implemented. There is a lot of questions to the Moldovan side. Their non-performance is associated with electoral processes. For us, this is not an excuse, we must work and move forward. If Moldova cannot, it is necessary to have the political will of the guarantors, intermediaries, observers to take on the solution of the issue of fulfillment of obligations.
Igor Avrenev: Vadim Nikolaevich, one of the most pressing issues is banking. This is a refusal to open bank accounts for our enterprises. The second issue is the refusal of licensing for the import of excisable goods. Pridnestrovie is losing a lot of money. Pridnestrovie cannot work normally, in a civilized manner. Our European colleagues are participants in the negotiation process. They believe that this situation is discriminatory towards Pridnestrovie, and do not support, at least in words, the Moldovan side. Why is Moldova making things worse? Is it because of political instability, or is there any kind of economic interest in this?
Vadim Krasnoselsky: I see a clear strategic intention here. When there was a security conference in Bavaria, suddenly the Moldovan side brought up the issue of harmonizing tax systems. Thus, the signing of the final contract was stopped. There is a double intention: the first is an attempt to follow the path of harmonization of tax systems, the second aspect is understanding that we will not do this, not to sign the final document. They think that in any case they win. I think that the banking issue is connected with the desire to put pressure on us with economic leverage: through bank accounts, the work of enterprises. Thus, they violate previously reached agreements, which give us the right to work independently and independently conduct foreign economic activity. This is the first. Secondly: what is harmonization? By the way, I told Mr. Neukirch that for thirty years we have developed our own tax system, which is different from the tax system of Moldova, it is simply impossible to combine. The desire to put this issue on the agenda is a political decision. Are they specialists? Where is the conclusion of those who should give their assessment of the possibility of combining the two tax systems? There is income tax, VAT and so on. It is impossible to restore a broken crystal vase, which shattered into smithereens. It can only be glued. No need to engage in politicking. It is necessary for economists to conclude whether this can or cannot be done. This is a simple populism, a desire to bend Pridnestrovie in its direction, first in bank accounts, then in taxes, currency and so on. It will not pass, it is impossible. Yes, it will be more difficult for us, but we will survive and find an opportunity to oppose it. A terrible thing is happening. Do you know what the nuance is? Bank accounts, land issues in the Dubossary district, intractability of the Moldovan side in the 5 + 2 format, the emergence of new components, new issues leads to only one thing - the loss of trust between the parties. It is dangerous, dangerous for future arrangements. 2017-2018, we took steps towards each other in terms of agreement. The agreements directly had a positive effect on the lives of people living on the left and right banks. Now it is collapsing, collapsed by Moldova. What for? We'll see. Maybe they don’t think about the consequences, maybe they have some kind of strategic plan, but I don’t like it at all.
Igor Avrenev: Vadim Nikolaevich, they understand that this is not a blow to some particular enterprises or Pridnestrovie as a whole, this is a blow to specific citizens - to pensioners, to our hospitals. If our enterprises pay taxes, if our enterprises give their money to the budget of Moldova, then Moldova does not pay our citizens' pensions here, it does not carry out any infrastructure projects. Instead of paying salaries and pensions at home, we have to pay all this to Moldova. In fact, this is the plunder of our Pridnestrovie. Do they understand it or not?
Vadim Krasnoselsky: When did they think about people? They don’t think about their own, especially about ours. This is a contiguous state, with contiguous issues and interests. Our people are not interested to them.
Vadim Bulatovich: The situation that has developed with excisable goods. At its core, this is something that people cannot refuse. If they do not give our enterprises the opportunity to work, then they open our market to their enterprises. Our budget is losing, prices are rising, the image is being spoiled. In these conditions, maybe it is worth appealing more to Western partners? They offered us options, including the mechanisms that worked until Moldova itself destroyed them. For example, the same work through Moldovan banks.
Vadim Krasnoselsky: Regarding the excise group, accusations of Pridnestrovie against smuggling are absolutely inappropriate and ridiculous for the reason that our entire excise group goes through Moldova, and we, unfortunately, pay excise taxes to Moldova. Yes, the issue is being discussed, maybe someday it will be resolved in our favor, but smuggling is physically excluded. As for Moldova, they just do not care about people. They are absolutely not interested in our problems. We need to think about ourselves, about our people, and we do it.
Vadim Bulatovich: Then what should we do? From time to time, some political scientist comes from Russia, the European Union. He comes to Chisinau, he is met there, taken to national restaurants, and he says that Moldova is a wonderful country and wonders why Pridnestrovie does not want to live in a common, united state. Sincerely people do not understand.
Vadim Krasnoselsky: I hear such statements, they are absolutely superficial and unprofessional. I saw comments that they supposedly came to Chisinau, was there fifteen years ago, everyone speaks Russian, everything is fine. I want to recall how the Pridnestrovian conflict began. What did Pridnestrovie ask for in the late eighties and early nineties? Russian language, to speak Russian, think, teach children. Forbidden. This is savagery and horror when, as part of the Soviet Union, Soviet people were forbidden to speak Russian. Because of this, a conflict arose, then Bujor groups appeared, then there was an invasion of Pridnestrovie, the city of Bendery in particular, war, the killing of people. Even after that, we were looking for options for cohabitation: Primakov’s plan, Kozak’s plan. So what? The Moldavian side destroyed everything. Then the people spoke out for the independence of Pridnestrovie. The people are tired, he spoke out, we are going in this channel and we will not turn anywhere from it. These people, politicians who declare how wonderful it is to live there, need to delve into the issues, the essence of the problems. If they like living in Moldova, let them come to Chisinau and live there. Do not drag us there. They have every right to obtain a residence permit and live in Chisinau, and not in Moscow, not in Brussels.
Igor Avrenev: Vadim Nikolaevich, you said that this is the competence of the people. Your election program was called popular. I would like to talk not about Moldova, but about us, about Pridnestrovie. What is done, in your opinion? What is not finished? What cannot be done from this program? How do you think?
Vadim Krasnoselsky: Firstly, nothing is impossible. I would like to expand the concept of the People’s Program a bit. When we felt that the People’s Program was being implemented in terms of concrete cases, then the idea came up of creating a Pridnestrovian Development Strategy for eight years. The people's program flowed smoothly into the Pridnestrovian Development Strategy and was greatly expanded. I will talk about both documents. What is the most important thing in the Pridnestrovian Development Strategy? In my opinion, we approved our state idea. It consists of three points. The first is independence; the second is the further creation of the Pridnestrovian people community, respecting language, culture and traditions; the third is the construction of a socially oriented state with a market form of the economy. Everything is very simple and clear. The three basic principles are political stability, economic self-sufficiency, and social justice. The rest is all embedded in this state idea. The whole Strategy, by and large, serves people. Any item is for people. They criticized this Strategy: someone said that it was small, someone said that it was big. The main thing is that it has been developed for eight years, we have already lived a year on it. Practical results can be summed up.
Firstly, both in the People’s Program and in the Pridnestrovian Development Strategy, attention was paid, promises were made and tasks were set to repair kindergartens, schools, hospitals, cultural facilities, historical sites, sports facilities. There appeared Capital Investment Fund. For 2018-2019, we can already talk about the results, in our republic more than three hundred objects have been repaired or rebuilt, in my opinion, 340. This is a lot - schools, kindergartens, hospitals, sports facilities, playgrounds, infrastructure, lighting in villages, water supply, sanitation in rural areas. This is the overhaul of our home, our Pridnestrovie. Many ask, whether on time? The day before yesterday it was necessary to do this, the day before yesterday. It is always on time when you equip your home. I will draw an analogy that I always draw. People live in apartments, houses, live thirty years, and have never done a major overhaul. The communications were lost, the roof covering was broken, the wallpaper fell off, the yard was not put in order, it became uncomfortable. The family at the round table makes a decision: let's do a major overhaul. Somewhere they save, allocate money, in some way they limit themselves for a certain period of time. So is Pridnestrovie. Our state is a common house of a small family on a global scale, about five hundred thousand people. This is a big house, and we have to put it in order. This is our task, and we will do it. The easiest way, having earned money, increase pensions and salaries and sit still, doing nothing more. When the pipes leak in the winter, kindergarten will be left without heat, schools without lighting, and the hospital without both?
I often give as an example the House of Culture of the village of Malaeshty. I came there, I saw a once beautiful building with stucco, built during the Soviet era. Capacity - five hundred - six hundred people. Great building. A lot of rooms that can be used for all kinds of classes. The roof was bad, cold, mold fungus is around, there is no heating - it was broken in 1987. Then they thought that it was untimely to do this, then the Soviet regime was finished, and in Pridnestrovie it turned out to be untimely. Another ten years, and it would have to be demolished. When did it need to be repaired? Today timely or not? Already late. We built a gas boiler room, we allocate funds for repairs, we put it in order.
In addition, the issue of changing the status of Pridnestrovie is not the responsibility of any politicians, even the President. This is the competence of the people, the people of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, and this right should not be taken.
The next promise and its fulfillment is the construction of affordable housing on the basis of those unfinished projects that spoiled the view of the city. There were opinions: but let's demolish these houses, which are thirty years old, and make a flat site there. We went the other way. We restored these houses and completed them as housing. In two years we plan to rent out more than six hundred apartments. This year we are renting more than four hundred apartments, these are five houses in Tiraspol and a house in Bendery. Do you understand what the point is? I was at the opening of houses, and doctors, teachers, military personnel and employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs approached me. They said one general phrase, without agreeing among themselves: “We did not believe that a public sector employee would be able to purchase a house for own money, for our own salary. Thank you very much for this opportunity”. This is nice, because this was the idea to give a budget employee an opportunity to get their own housing. The pricing policy is affordable, plus an affordable loan in PMR rubles without reference to the dollar. Thus, a person pays a principal per month and a percentage - in the amount of one and a half thousand rubles, and that’s all. He acquires housing in the property. He pays the same money for a rented apartment, and pays for his own.
Vadim Bulatovich: In the People’s Program, you mentioned the amount of seven thousand rubles. Is that within the budget?
Vadim Krasnoselsky: Yes, somewhere cheaper, somewhere a little more expensive, but on average it is. Those who did not work did not believe. I did this and am confident in my capabilities today. If the house is typical, like in Benderskaya Street in Tiraspol, it’s a little cheaper there. If the house is not typical, like in the Balka microdistrict in Tiraspol, where it is necessary to rebuild, then there is a rise in price. In any case, it is very beneficial. So we will continue. We have plans in Tiraspol, Bendery, Slobodzeya, Rybnitsa, Grigoriopol. We must work on this, we must seek opportunities. I set the task to look at the former administrative and industrial buildings, which can be converted into housing. The work is underway. In fact, we focus on public sector employees. They no longer say whether it is possible, they already understand what is possible.
The next point from the People’s Program is job creation. Today, I can officially declare that in Pridnestrovie, since 2017, 13500 jobs have been created. Two and a half thousand - industry, one thousand two hundred - agriculture, one thousand two hundred - construction, more than four thousand - trade and public catering ... Budget places are not included here. What is 13500 jobs? This is an impressive indicator for eliminating unemployment, for increasing the added value of our budget. It's great. I will give such figures. We have 92000 citizens involved in the real sector of the economy, 46000 in the public sector. There was one worker in the real sector of the economy for one budgetary worker, now there are two workers in the real sector of the economy for one budgetary worker. This indicator is not the best from the point of view of macroeconomics, nevertheless, we are moving towards a good balance, which gives us good prospects for the economy, for the growth of pensions and salaries.
The following: utility tariffs were not risen, low-cost gas for the poor, restoring all social obligations, reducing industry taxes and patent costs, putting the armed forces in order.
Igor Avrenev: More about the armed forces? Humiliating treatment of juniors is disappeared ...
Vadim Krasnoselsky: I am a military man, although I served in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for a long time, I received a military education. I understand the essence of the army, I always felt it, felt the problems, and most importantly, saw how these problems can be eradicated. I never believed the stories that humiliating treatment of juniors is a “mirror of society”, that everything is bad there. This is a lie, a categorical error.
What have we done? We have made a number of management decisions. First, we changed the philosophy of service. The service in the usual form was replaced by a working day. All servicemen come in the morning and go home in the evening, to the family. This is probably the most important argument. Parents see their son at home that he is in order, not hungry, in good uniform - everything is fine. And, by the way, this moment does not affect the military component of the armed forces. We can gather people in an hour, return everyone to the barracks, if something happens.
The second point is the updating of uniforms, the food is maximally improved, repairs are being carried out in the barracks.
In addition, we solved the problem with students. Now a student who goes to the armed forces to the service has the right to go to correspondence courses and continue studying at the Pridnestrovian State University. This is wonderful. We do not lose the intellectual composition of our armed forces.
Battle with humiliating treatment of juniors is underway in the army. As a result: over the past year there are only isolated cases when people do not return after leave warrant to the location of the military unit. This is an exception to the rule. There used to be hundreds of cases a year. Now - one or two people who have circumstances of a different nature. We work on this. That is, humiliating treatment of juniors is excluded. Of course, this is a men's team. This is normal, becoming a man. The facts of bullying should not be. If they suddenly appear, I want to warn both the commanders and the military, for this there will be a very severe punishment. It is not necessary to turn an army with a charter into an army of "concepts."
Vadim Bulatovich: Vadim Nikolaevich, you said that has already been done. I understand that it’s too early to draw a line, you said that the Strategy is for 8 years, everything should go according to plan, and then we will see what happens as a result. It already turns out - more or less good. But all the same, one way or another, strange moments come out that cannot be called any kind of inconsistency, or unworkedness. The last incident that took place: from October 1, the minimum wage calculations changed in the education system and the Ministry of Health. As a result, it turned out that there are people who received more, but there are people who began to receive less than they expected. I know that there was a meeting, a decision was made. Compensated, it seems, to people who have not received the money, the required funds. How will this problem be solved further? Every month we will gather meetings, or now we saw a problem, decided, and it will no longer appear?
Vadim Krasnoselsky: Yes, indeed, we have changed the minimum wage. It was changed upward - from 7.3 to 7.8. As a result, a paradox, people lost in their salaries from 50 kopecks to, in isolated cases, 200 rubles. This, of course, is a lot. Someone has not lost, but rather receives more. Why did this happen? Previously, there was a system of coefficients. It did not take root. We came to a different formula for economic relations and raising the minimum wage from 7.3 to 7.8. At the same time, from October 1, a certain category of doctors and teachers lost their salaries. About three weeks ago, I held an extended meeting on this issue, which was attended by relevant ministers, heads of the executive and legislative branches of Government, and we decided this year to recount and compensate for three months in the month of December (October, November, December) losses, recover lost income. In the future, with the adoption of a new budget, I think this situation will not happen again.
Vadim Bulatovich: That is, we already have those who receive more, and we will not have those who, as a result of the changes, were offended and received less? This is a good decision.
Vadim Krasnoselsky: Where more - they are silent, they are happy with everything, and those who received less will be compensated.
Igor Avrenev: One of the most controversial issues - and this is amazing - is large-scale construction, repairs, park building. Tiles appear everywhere, new trees plant, historical objects are being restored. What I want to notice. Our center of Tiraspol after six in the evening, after dark, became extinct. In the center of the city there was not a single car, not a single person. Now, this week it’s getting colder, but a week ago two hundred, three hundred, four hundred people walked along the promenade when it was already dark. Street lights are lit, new tiles underfoot, mothers with baby strollers are walking, old people are sitting near the fountain, young people are active, rollerdrome, etc. Was it some kind of goal - to get people out of their homes, tear them from the blue TV screens, take them out to the streets so they could get to know each other again, or some other purpose?
Vadim Krasnoselsky: The main goal was to show people what they have, why love their land and proud of it. I emphasized park construction as one of the elements of the capital investment program. If you read the psychologists, they say that a walk in a beautiful park is emotionally equivalent to a good holiday. For example. the city center two years ago. People are sitting at home, nowhere to go, nowhere to walk. The asphalt is destroyed, you can’t drive with baby stroller, somewhere mothers walked in these gray courtyards, there was no other way. First of all, it is necessary to give the opportunity for a surge of good positive emotions, to create conditions for this. Of course, these are park zones. Not only Alexander Nevsky’s park, Catherine’s park, but park zones in general. This year, five parks were made in Tiraspol, including Catherine, as the central one. I want to give an example of Alexander Nevsky Park in the Bendery Fortress. This year, 25 festivals and various events were held there. Attendance of each festival is from 5 to 20 thousand people. Imagine.
Vadim Bulatovich: Somewhere three hundred thousand people a year...
Vadim Krasnoselsky: Yes, and these are visitors only to festivals, not to mention visiting the fortress as a cultural and historical object. Plus, there was organized public catering, cultural and historical events, all kinds of thematic holidays. Is it bad? These are positive emotions, this is wonderful, this is a holiday. The task was set to the heads of administrations of cities and regions after creating their park territories to hold festivals there next year. Let not 25, let 10, 15, 20 .... Everywhere, throughout the republic, from Kamenka to Tiraspol, these festivals will be held. People should see each other, enjoy communication.
As for the central place of the city of Tiraspol this is Catherine Park. We all say that Tiraspol is a historical city. Where was this story told? Only in museums. We have not seen this story. You need to show it, make its visualization. This is what people will love, this is what they will show to the one who comes to visit them, and will be proud of their city, its monuments, culture, history, modern comfort. Catherine Park is a large project that will be completed by the second of September next year, the thirtieth anniversary of our republic. This complex - the park area itself, fountain groups, paving slabs, playgrounds, lakes and everything that will be built additionally on the side closer to the Green Market - a restaurant complex in an interesting style, a large-scale children's town, which we will fill with our history, our tales, for example, will be epic heroes in miniature ... It will be interesting not only for children, but also for adults. It is necessary for Pridnestrovie. This park will serve people, it will be filled with life, joy, and this is what we should strive for. Such a task is everywhere. Recently opened a park in the city of Slobodzeya, we allocate funds for its expansion; in Rybnitsa there is a central park and there is a promenade; in Kamenka - Wittgenstein park; in Dubossary and Grigoriopol the park zones are being built. It is right. We must work for people. This is the People’s Program and the Development Strategy of our republic in action. Critics who see this as negative should answer the question: what do you leave for your children, what do you prepare for them if this does not happen? It will take a little time, and people who will be in these parks at festivals and concerts will say, “This was done under the head of such administration,” “And my mother and my dad participated in this.” And that’s all. The rest is all gone, like water in the sand.
Vadim Bulatovich: Now sometimes you hear the question: “Why?”. Well, why was it necessary to put tiles in the central square of Tiraspol instead of asphalt? Why should there be tile everywhere, and not good old asphalt? We were interested in this issue, and very interesting points are being clarified. The enterprises that are now engaged in the production of tiles have recently given good growth. Five people worked, now forty work. Salaries are not bad. Business executives say that people are returning from other countries because it is already possible to earn money here. In your opinion, why tile? Why exactly this direction? Does it not turn out that we, in fact, having shifted one industry, give impetus to the whole economy? In the United States, during the Great Depression, roads began to be built. They began to build roads - all sectors pulled themselves up. The country gave work to everyone, the country climbed out of the pit. Does it turn out like this for us too? Gave an impetus to one, and all went?
Vadim Krasnoselsky: We did not take an example from the United States of America and the great depression. We do not have great depression.
Vadim Bulatovich: Well, the analogy suggests itself ...
Vadim Krasnoselsky: There is an analogy. We needed to restore Pridnestrovie, that was the idea. As for the tiles. If you carefully read not even the People’s Program, but the Pridnestrovian Development Strategy, it clearly says “the transition to new technologies of road surfaces”. Asphalt, of course, will be asphalt. It’s not going anywhere. There are highways where only asphalt should be used, as is done everywhere. There are others - home areas, courtyards of hospitals, schools, kindergartens, park areas. What is the asphalt? There is either concreting or tile. These are new technologies. Why are tiles and concrete? I will give an example. Take even the area. Of course, it’s too early to look at this strip of tiles. Although beautiful, it’s early. Because it will be in the complex of the entire park. This is only one component. Soon, people will see how it will look completely when all the sidewalks will also be covered with beautiful paving tiles. It will be beautiful and aesthetically pleasing. The asphalt that was removed was covered in cracks. Its term has already come. The central area should not be cracked. Replacing this asphalt with tiles is one and a half times cheaper than asphalt. What pulls this tile? We buy asphalt for currency, this is import. When you buy abroad, it is not always possible to check the pricing policy of the purchased materials, a moment of some kind of abuse may arise. Tile is our products, our production, our business entities and absolutely transparent pricing policy. This, of course, is the capitalization of our economy, the creation of new jobs, new industries. We do not buy tiles from abroad, we produce it in Pridnestrovie. Therefore, I set the Heads of administrations (at least Tiraspol, Rybnitsa, Bendery, Slobodzeya) the task of organizing municipal tile production at home. Such production has already been organized in Bendery and Tiraspol. This tile is produced for the city at a lower cost. They, of course, compete with other industries. By the way, the tiles made for the central square of Tiraspol were made by a private entrepreneur in Parkany.
Vadim Bulatovich: As I understand it, it can last longer than the same asphalt. That is, we save currency, we do for a long time, we do where it is possible, and we give money to our enterprises, our people. Thus, we perform almost five tasks in one solution.
Igor Avrenev: In general, the most important thing is not even the production of tiles. This year for the first time in our kindergartens, in schools, all cracked, crumbling asphalt is changing. As far as I know, next year this will be sidewalks to clinics, hospitals, to schools, kindergartens - that is, sidewalks leading to the most key places will be repaired.
Vadim Krasnoselsky: You are absolutely right. Here I can say one thing. I constantly hear criticism: we also need it. In fact, the road surfaces of all the house areas, courtyards of hospitals, schools, and kindergartens should be replaced with paving slabs. It is practical, aesthetically pleasing and cheaper. In addition, new technologies for concreting roads will be involved. In Tiraspol, this practice is applied and successfully proves its effectiveness. Although the price here is not much cheaper than asphalt, nevertheless, these are our materials, our jobs, the capitalization of our economy and, of course, the quality is much better than that of asphalt, reliability and survivability. Conclusion: we maintain the asphalt surface of the necessary highways, but we will apply new technologies in both tile and concrete.
Igor Avrenev: Vadim Nikolaevich, next year - 75 years of Victory. This is a great nationwide holiday. This is our holiday, because during the war the front stood here for six months. That is, we, our grandfathers, grandmothers, those who lived here, felt all this. What will be done in celebration of this date, what is planned, what is being done now?
Vadim Krasnoselsky: Yes, this is a great holiday. Perhaps this is the event that changed the course of history for the better. If it were not for the feat of the Soviet soldier, there would have been no great remorse of the Western European states, late repentance. After all, they repented after May 9, 1945, when they were forced to do this. Before that, they were not going to, in principle. This is sacrifice, a feat, and we in Pridnestrovie honor it. We have the Heirs of Victories movement. Of course, the main victory is the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. 75 years is an important date. We are getting ready for the date. More than one meeting has already been held, a program has been drawn up and approved. There is everything - from textbooks and printing of relevant books that will be devoted to specific individuals and specific destinies, this, of course, is the holding of a whole range of events - the march of the Immortal Regiment, the laying of flowers. This, of course, is a field kitchen, a celebration of veterans, valuable gifts. This is the same reconstruction that will be carried out on the Dniester River and Tiraspol embankment. I don’t want to reveal secrets yet, but we want to conduct it on a larger scale, with a lot of military technology. This is interesting, but, of course, the most important thing is attention to veterans. There are very few of them left. This is a generation of winners who leave us forever. What can we save? Memory. This is the maximum attention to veterans and an assessment of the impact of victory on today's life, so that all young people understand what the price of that Great Victory really came to, and what would happen if this did not happen suddenly.
I love history, everyone knows this. I love military history, which allows many conclusions to be drawn. Why is the choice of the people of Pridnestrovie precisely independence? Yes, because independence is a guarantee of our security. I am not against the European Union, just to each his own. Someone is comfortable living in the European Union with its values. Someone is comfortable living in Ukraine, someone in Moldova, someone in the Russian Federation, someone is comfortable living in Pridnestrovie, with our values. They are based on respect for a person, language, culture. We have absolutely no religious intolerance, xenophobia. This is probably one of the most important achievements of Pridnestrovie. This is what we have suffered over many centuries of the history of this region. Therefore, such lessons as the Great Patriotic War are an indicator. We need to be ready to protect ourselves, we have what to defend, what to fight for and what to build. No need to look at the Western sparkles: that place is best of all where we haven't been at all. We need to make them come here and envy us. And this is all within the forces, only it is necessary to work.
Vadim Bulatovich: We will work.
Igor Avrenev: Thank you, Vadim Nikolaevich. This is the end of the conversation. Thank you for coming to us.
