Vadim Krasnoselsky was awarded the Order of Honor of the Russian Federation

The President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky was awarded the Order of Honor of the Russian Federation for his contributions to strengthening friendship and cooperation between peoples, and for his fruitful efforts in fostering the rapprochement and mutual enrichment of cultures, nations, and ethnic groups. The award ceremony took place in the Kremlin.

Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized expressing his gratitude for this high honor that receiving the award was a great privilege. The President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic congratulated the ceremony’s attendees and all Russians on National Unity Day, highlighting the deep-rooted connection between Pridnestrovie and the Russian World.

"Pridnestrovie is a part of the Russian World without a doubt. When I speak of the Russian World, I am referring to the Russian civilizational space. The formation of the Russian World has a long history in a broader sense. As for the Russian World in Pridnestrovie, there are specific dates and specific names associated with it. The starting point for the formation of the Russian World in Pridnestrovie as part of the Northern Black Sea region was the incorporation of Crimea into the Russian Empire in 1783. Subsequently, the Northern Black Sea region also became part of the Russian state as a result of victorious Russo-Turkish wars. Those are the dates. As for the names and figures: naturally, Catherine the Great and her close associate and collaborator, General Field Marshal Grigory Alexandrovich Potemkin-Tavrichesky, played a pivotal role in establishing the Northern Black Sea region as part of the state. One must include General Field Marshal Rumyantsev-Zadunaysky and Generalissimo Alexander Vasilyevich Suvorov, of course. Thanks to their efforts and decisions, cities such as Sevastopol, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Odesa, and, of course, Tiraspol came into existence.

Tiraspol is the capital of the modern Pridnestrovian state.

I will focus on Tiraspol just briefly. Tiraspol was founded by Generalissimo Alexander Vasilyevich Suvorov – a military commander who knew no defeat, securing 70 victories in 70 battles. He founded only one city: Tiraspol, an outpost that it has never changed its jurisdiction throughout its entire 234-year history! It served as an outpost for the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union, and even following the collapse of the Soviet Union, Tiraspol has remained firmly within the civilizational sphere of Russia. This is a fact. The RF peacekeepers, who safeguard peace and stability on our land along the Dniester, are the successors to the glorious legacy of Alexander Vasilyevich Suvorov’s musketeers for it was the musketeer companies that built the "Middle Fortress" on the site of present-day Tiraspol.

If we are talking again about the Russian world: these are not only territories, these are the people living in these territories, these are people. So, at the time the Northern Black Sea region became part of the Russian Empire, a great power, the lands were deserted by and large. And the great Empress Catherine II did not force people there, she offered to live on this land, just giving people civilization, giving freedom, land, the right to speak their native language, the right to life, the right to religion. That's a fact.

This is how the people of Pridnestrovie, the national unity of Pridnestrovie, were formed.

People of 72 nationalities live in modern Pridnestrovie today. There is no hostility, everyone lives in peace. Moreover, we are part of the great Motherland, and it is not our fault that we ended up far away, unfortunately. Nevertheless, we have complete harmonization of legislation with Russia, we have all Russian education standards. Thanks to your support, graduates of our schools and higher educational institutions receive Russian certificates and diplomas. Thanks to your support, books have now been published, specifically Russian books for our schools. Thank you very much!

Special thanks, Vladimir Vladimirovich, from the entire Pridnestrovian people for peace on our land, for Russia’s peacekeeping mission on the Dniester, for the help that you provide daily, by and large, to our people, Pridnestrovie.

The Russian world is not a formality, it is not a word. That's right. The right to live in one’s native land, the right to speak one’s native languages, the right to develop one’s culture and honor one’s history, to honor one’s ancestors. An event took place today in the city of Bendery, in the Pridnestrovian city of Bendery. The event for us, for history, probably. There is a necropolis where 5000 soldiers of the Russian Empire are buried in the city of Bendery – these are generals, soldiers, officers of 115 regiments of the Russian Imperial Army. It was restored at one time (15 years ago), and all the names were named. For example, in this cemetery lie a thousand heroes of Sevastopol in 1854, among them, by the way, the Moscow militia – about 300 people. There lie the heroes of Shipka, participants in the Russo-Japanese War and the First World War.

The city of Bendery (this is the Turkish name of the city). The Bendery fortress is located on the territory of the city. It took an active part in the Russian-Turkish wars. It was stormed several times, but it was only possible to take it by storm in 1770, General-in-Chief Pyotr Ivanovich Panin. We discovered the remains of 12 Panin soldiers who died and were buried as a result of search work this summer. The reburial of unknown soldiers of that era took place today.

Any war takes people, but when people are named, this is one thing, and when an unknown soldier is another. We buried 12 soldiers of the Russian Empire with honors, as expected, with the presence of all military formations and, of course, Russian peacekeepers today.

Dear Vladimir Vladimirovich! If you ask any citizen of Pridnestrovie: “What is the Russian world for you?”, they will say quite simply: “The Russian world is life”, said Vadim Krasnoselsky.
