The Minister of Internal Affairs Vitaly Neagu in the course of the working meeting under the President informed that festive services were held in 60 churches on Christmas night. 135 militia officers were involved in the work to ensure law and order and control compliance by members of church services with sanitary and epidemiological standards. No violations were found. The decision to hold Epiphany bathing on the 19th of January remains in force. Instructions were given to equip specialized locations in settlements. The reservoirs, fonts, heating places will be thought out, and the medical staff will be on duty. Militia patrols and emergency rescue teams will be on duty during the Epiphany bathing period.
Another issue that was discussed at the workshop was the use of the Road Fund funds collected in excess of the planned amount last year. The preliminary amount is 20 million. There is a chance that it will be larger. The spending items of 12 million are already outlined in the 2022 budget law. The rest of the money will be distributed between the administrations of towns and districts of the republic. The chapters will decide on the directions for which additional funds will be spent. Attention will be paid to the sidewalks. It was proposed propose to put in order the territory adjacent to the Central Republican Hospital in Kamenka, to allocate funds for the modernization of the sewer network in Slobodzeya, to finance repair work at a significant road junction in the capital. Full information on additional income and proposals for spending should be submitted by the 20th of January in order to start using these funds in February, said Vadim Krasnoselsky.
The PMR President informed the meeting participants that an annual event is planned for the 20th of January – the announcement of the Message of the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic to the state authorities and administration, in which the goals, objectives and guidelines for the current year are traditionally indicated.
