The PMR President met with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko

The Pridnestrovian delegation led by the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky arrived to the Russian capital. Several meetings are planned in frameworks of the working visit. The first meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. The PMR Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev, Director of the Second Department of the CIS Countries of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Alexei Polishchuk and Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Sergey Gubarev took part in the meeting.

The interlocutors during the meeting exchanged views on a wide range of topical issues related to the current situation in the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova, and spoke about bilateral Russian-Pridnestrovian relations.

In particular, the parties discussed results of the round of the Permanent Conference in the 5 + 2 format held in Bratislava with an emphasis on further prospects for international dialogue on issues raised during the meeting. The meeting participants agreed on the necessity to continue a pragmatic and productive dialogue, contributing to the implementation of agreements reached earlier and the settlement of urgent problems. In this context, the interlocutors exchanged views on an informal conference in Bavaria, during which continuation of started in Bratislava discussions are expected.

During the conversation, they paid special attention to the development of Russian-Pridnestrovian contacts. Vadim Krasnoselsky drew attention to the problem of obtaining citizenship of the Russian Federation by the inhabitants of Pridnestrovie. The President expressed the view that there is an urgent need to revise the legislative barriers that impede the obtaining of citizenship by Pridnestrovian compatriots, in particular, those born after December 26, 1991.

Vadim Krasnoselsky during the conversation voiced some proposals of the Pridnestrovian side on the development of social and humanitarian interaction. In particular, the PMR President drew attention to initiatives on the use of maternal capital of the Russian Federation in the territory of Pridnestrovie and on the issue of health insurance policies of the Russian Federation to Pridnestrovians for their subsequent use in Russia.

At the end of the meeting, the interlocutors praised the dynamics and constructive nature of bilateral contacts and agreed to continue interaction on all pressing issues.
