Vadim Krasnoselsky met with Claus Neukirch

The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky met with the Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Claus Neukirch at the presidential executive office. The PMR Minister of Foreign Affairs Vitaly Ignatiev took part in the conversation.

The main topic of the conversation is the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and Moldova. Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that the visit of the European diplomat coincides with the period of complete stagnation of the Moldovan-Pridnestrovian dialogue. The PMR President emphasized that the neighboring republic not only does not participate in the negotiations, but also ignores the obligations already assumed, not fulfilling the agreements reached earlier. Vadim Krasnoselsky at the same time focused on the fact that Pridnestrovie stands for the continuation of the negotiation process, the search for compromises and the preservation of peace. Vadim Krasnoselsky considers that the absence of official political representative on the part of Moldova and the nullification of the activities of the "5 + 2" format can lead to extremely negative consequences.

The Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova noted that he shares the concern of the Pridnestrovian side and expects the early appointment of an official who will officially represent Moldova in the negotiation process. Claus Neukirch emphasized that the activities of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, which he represents, are still focused on achieving practical results designed to improve the lives of citizens.

The PMR President sent through Mr. Neukirch a letter to Maia Sandu, which indicated the need to immediately appoint an official representative of the Republic of Moldova in the negotiation process, thereby giving impetus to the resumption of the work of the "Permanent Conference ..." format. The PMR President expressed hope that the letter will be delivered to the President of the Republic of Moldova in the near future.
