Opening the meeting, the President noted that the need to hold it became imminent based on the results of the final meetings with colleges of enforcement agencies and departments. According to the President topical issues of official activity that require joint discussion and consolidated decision were raised during regular extended meetings for the beginning of the year.
The PMR Prosecutor Anatoly Guretsky identified the main range of issues. Among the discussed topics there are empower of the prosecutor of the republic, city and district to initiate criminal proceedings (the initiative is being considered by the Supreme Council); unreasonably high load for convoy units (the President and the Prosecutor are unanimous in the opinion that the practice of escorting should be reduced to a reasonable minimum); change in the departmental of the forensic examination system (with the transfer of relevant functions from the Ministry of Health to the Ministry of the Interior, which has experience of similar work in the framework of the forensic center); development of forms of interaction between representatives of various law enforcement agencies.
The meeting participants exchanged views on the whole range of issues. They came to understanding in most aspects. The Heads of ministries and departments were tasked with developing new effective mechanisms, the introduction of which would make law enforcement activities more productive. Vadim Krasnoselsky directed the meeting participants to work in conditions of constant contact, noting that everyone should feel the situation and if necessary promptly rely on assistance of colleagues.
