The Easter Chime Festival will be organized in Pridnestrovie for the first time. The event will be held on the 29th of April (the second day of Easter) at the Alexander Nevsky Park in Bendery. Today, organizational issues were discussed at the office of the President. Archbishop of Tiraspol and Dubossary Sawa, Head of the PMR Presidential Executive Office Sergey Belous, Head of State Administration of Bendery Roman Ivanchenko, Head of State Service for Culture Maria Kyrmyz as well as specialists, responsible for the preparation of the festival were invited to the meeting.
Vladyka Sawa expressed gratitude for the initiative to Vadim Krasnoselsky (the idea of holding the Easter festival belongs to the President), noting that the Church welcomes and fully supports initiatives aimed at spiritual education, preservation of Orthodox culture and Christian values unification. Archbishop said that there are forty Easter days, so there is a considerable amount of time to organize and hold a significant number of Easter events throughout the country. We are talking about meetings, talks, thematic evenings, holiday programs, as well as visits to social institutions - orphanages, boarding schools, nursing homes, medical and rehabilitation institutions. Responsibility for work organizing in this direction is entrusted by the President to the heads of state administrations.
The Easter Chime Festival will be the starting point and the largest event of this cycle. Alexander Nevsky Park will open the gates for participants in the afternoon. Opening time of the festival - 15:00. The official start of the holiday will be preceded by the ceremony of laying flowers to the portrait sculpture of Alexander Nevsky. Archbishop of Tiraspol and Dubossary Sawa will address the visitors with a greeting and congratulatory word. The program includes concerts of the Pridnestrovian State Choir and Symphony Orchestra. Performances and creative teams are scheduled. The opportunity of attracting bard songs performers is considered. The organizers said that with the emphasis on Orthodox traditions, the national color will remain. Within the framework of the festival it is planned to hold an exhibition-competition with Easter eggs and various master classes, including the art of bell ringing. An important component of the evening is charity. The White Flower event is aimed at raising funds for newborns in need of special support.
The work of the organizing committee, which included representatives of the city, the sphere of culture and the clergy, continues. The script is being worked out. The President emphasized that the holiday should be bright and unifying in all respects, and expressed the hope that in future it will become traditional.
