During the meeting held at the presidential executive office of the PMR, information was confirmed that two polling stations will be organized in Pridnestrovie where Russian citizens living in the PMR can vote in support or express their disagreement with the proposed constitutional amendments. This is decision of the Russian side. Both polling stations are in Tiraspol. They will be located in the neighborhood, but strictly delineated. One of them that is intended for voting by Russian military personnel and members of their families is located on the basis of the military unit of the Operative Group of Russian Forces in Pridnestrovie. The second polling station will operate near the House of Officers near the Church of St. Andrew the First-Called. Recently, access to the church was made public, the Church is fence from the main territory of the military unit. Visitors to the two polling stations will not intersect. Each sector is provided with a separate entrance (exit).
Requirements for organizing the voting process by the Rospotrebnadzor and the CEC of the Russian Federation, as well as the Pridnestrovian sanitary service were discussed in the course of the meeting. Social distance, hand disinfection and mask regimen are unconditional.
The constitutional rights of citizens of the Russian Federation are respected in Pridnestrovie; it was noted during a working discussion. Moreover, the main task today is to ensure the safety of the health of the residents of the republic. This is the position of not only Pridnestrovian leadership, but also the Russian side. All Pridnestrovian Russians will have the opportunity to vote in the Tiraspol polling stations regardless of their place of residence or registration. Collective delivery of citizens from other areas is not provided due to the increased risk of infection in the compact presence of a large number of people in vehicles and the limited capacity of one polling station. Voting will be organized in a free manner in compliance with security measures. Members of election commissions on the eve of the event and on the eve of election day are tested for COVID-19. Polling stations will be open July 1 from 8:00 to 20:00.
