The President invited the leadership of Presidential Administration, the PMR Government, the Ministry of Health, and medical institutions of the republic to a working conversation. Chief physicians and heads of three dozen hospitals, polyclinics, hospitals, medical centers and pharmacological organizations participated in the video conference organized by the President.
Vadim Krasnoselsky outlined the general picture, telling about the situation in the country with the spread of coronavirus and measures taken at the state level to prevent it. The President spoke about the indisputable paramount importance of the role of the medical link in this work, urging the interlocutors to mobilize, responsibility and self-discipline. The President paid particular attention to the issue of ensuring the safety of doctors and medical staff. If every physician does not realize the full degree of danger and personal responsibility of a patient, the people as a whole, then all the efforts of the country's leadership, the Operational Headquarters, and industrial enterprises operating practically non-stop will be absolutely in vain so that every doctor is not provided just a white overall, as a familiar attribute of a medical professional, and a means of maximum protection against infection, Vadim Krasnoselsky is sure. According to him, administrative rigidity is the only effective tool in a pandemic: total and system control at all levels is necessary. A reasonable approach is important: the presidential decree is the basis, the shell that needs to be filled with local management decisions, Vadim Krasnoselsky noted. He called on the heads of structural divisions of the Ministry of Health and medical institutions to join forces to jointly build tactics of protection against the spread of coronavirus and the fight against it.
During the meeting, practical issues related to ensuring the protection of physicians, remuneration of their labor, the organization of training and retraining, the deployment of potential bases for accommodation of patients and suspected of infection with COVID-19 were discussed. They talked about the need for infrastructure work. The Chairman of the PMR Government called for timely signaling of needs, so that responsible structures can quickly respond to requests. The chief physicians were informed of the joint remote meetings held weekly in remote mode, and recalled that the Ministry of Health had set up its own operational headquarters, designed to ensure uninterrupted communication through the medical line to resolve issues related to preventing the spread of coronavirus.
