Vadim Krasnoselsky held a working meeting with Russian oncologists

A delegation from MEDSI arrived in Pridnestrovie. This is a Russian network that unites 13 medical and preventive institutions in Moscow and the region, seven clinics in the regions of Russia, 76 first-aid posts in various cities and three clinical diagnostic centers. The structure of MEDSI in addition has its own ambulance service, two specialized children's clinics, two hospitals, three sanatoriums and other facilities. The Head of the department of anticancer therapy in one of the Moscow clinics Anastasia Mochalova told the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky that more than two thousand doctors are involved in the organization, there are dozens of doctors of sciences and hundreds of candidates of medical sciences in the staff. The meeting with the PMR President took place at the presidential executive office. Another interlocutor of Vadim Krasnoselsky is the Moscow oncologist Vitaly Ogorodnikov, a graduate of the Pridnestrovian State University named after Shevchenko, currently practicing in medical institutions of the MEDSI network. The receiving party was also represented by the Vice-Speaker of the Pridnestrovian parliament Galina Antyufeyeva and the chief oncologist of the PMR Alina Andreeva.

The purpose of the visit of Russian specialists to the republic is to share with Pridnestrovian colleagues their experience and best practices in the fight against cancer. Vadim Krasnoselsky noted the urgency of this issue. The PMR President said that the state program "Oncology: improving oncological care for the population of the PMR" operates in Pridnestrovie. The amount of financing for five years 2021-2026 is 200.8 million rubles.

Anastasia Mochalova spoke about the model used by MEDSI to provide cancer care, noting that its effectiveness has been confirmed in practice. The result is the saving of life for patients with even advanced forms of the disease. Vitaly Ogorodnikov noted in turn that thanks to new approaches, the diagnosis of "oncology" has ceased to be a sentence: only the regime and lifestyle of citizens diagnosed with oncology are changing. The interlocutors emphasized that the medical infrastructure being created in Pridnestrovie contributes to the organization of the treatment process at a new level. It was noted that the Russian practice will be introduced in the republic in the near future. The current visit to Pridnestrovie is, although the first for Anastasia Mochalova, it is not an introductory one: the Russians are focused on active practical work. Interaction with Pridnestrovian doctors has been established.

The meeting participants discussed working aspects, outlined priorities, areas for further cooperation. Vadim Krasnoselsky expressed gratitude to Russian doctors for their assistance in resolving issues related to the organization of an effective process for treating citizens with cancer, and for the attention given to people in need of medical care. The PMR President presented the Order of Friendship to Anastasia Mochalova.
