The meeting, in the course of which the President outlined his vision of the concept of the future museum, was held as videoconference. Leaders of the presidential executive office, the PMR Government, the Supreme Council, a number of ministries and departments, the capital's state administration, the specialized research laboratory of PSU, as well as the chief editors of television channels were invited to the conversation.
Opening the discussion, Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that the Tiraspol United Museum, with all its merits, does not correspond to the level of the state and is not in this status. In addition, the time has come to move away from glass cases with single exhibits and dusty oblivion of museum funds, the President considers. According to him, history is a living organism, and it must be presented alive. An important message is the use of modern materials, technologies, new generation museum trends. Exposures should not be stagnant and gray. Standard exhibitions of exhibits are becoming a thing of the past, they will be replaced by dynamic, brightly designed exhibitions-performances using light and noise effects. The concept of museum halls will become conditional, since many elements of a large-scale museum complex will not be limited to four walls. The State Museum will become part of the Catherine Park, the administration of which will be located in October Street, 25. We are talking about the buildings of the museum that is currently in operation and the buildings under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Defense. The spacious building of the General Staff was repaired, landscaped and equipped in accordance with the requirements of modern times for the needs of the military. The vacated buildings, which have preserved the atmosphere of the past, will become a place for the deployment of historical panoramas. There will be several of them. From the voiced proposals - a panorama of the Scythian mounds, the storming of the Bendery fortress, the Jassy-Kishinev operation, the 1992 war. It is proposed to arrange a permanent exhibition of Victory equipment, as well as an exposition of small arms - Soviet and captured in an open area in the center of the capital (the territory where the bunker of the Stalin line of defense is located, which is itself a valuable exhibit).
Considering that the Pridnestrovian State Historical Museum should reflect the entire history of the Pridnestrovian Territory, then there will be several directions in which the exhibition fund will be formed: the Stone Age (Vadim Krasnoselsky noted, it will finally be possible to get the richest material collected from university funds) and kept by the staff of the Research Laboratory "Archeology"), the Middle Ages, the Russian Empire in the Pridnestrovian history, Soviet power, the Great Patriotic War, the national economy restoration, the creation of Pridnestrovie and its present day. The local history sector will not be ignored. The idea of creating a museum of wax figures of personalities who have left a bright mark in the history of the region is being considered. The links of the museum complex will combine numerous objects into a single infrastructure chain, which will be located along October 25 Street until the very descent to the embankment. The well-known, but dilapidated staircase will also be transformed, making it a bright element of Catherine's composition. Thus, the upper and lower tiers of the park will be connected into circle. All this is still the first author's developments. Vadim Krasnoselsky called for voicing ideas and proposals, emphasizing that the main task is to captivate citizens with history, instill in them respect for the past, and educate a new generation of Pridnestrovians in an atmosphere of love with their native land.
Working group will be created to establish the Pridnestrovian State Historical Museum on behalf of the President. The question of who will lead the implementation of the global project - infrastructure, cultural, educational, tourism - is still open. According to the President, this should be a person who wholeheartedly loves Pridnestrovie, who knows and respects history, and at the same time has administrative skills and experience in leading work in the construction sector. It will take three years to bring the idea to life, says Vadim Krasnoselsky.
