Vadim Krasnoselsky awarded Alexander Rosenbaum the title of "People's Artist of the PMR"

The concert by Russian musician Alexander Rosenbaum took place in the Great Hall of the Palace of the Republic. The artist arrived in Pridnestrovie at the invitation of the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky. The main purpose of the visit is to participate in events dedicated to the Holocaust Remembrance Day. The singer decided to give a concert in Tiraspol. The event is not commercial. Military personnel were invited as spectators – Pridnestrovian and Russian peacekeepers, members of their families, as well as pupils and students of educational institutions subordinate to the ministries of the power bloc: the Tiraspol Suvorov Military School, the Republican Cadet Corps, the Tiraspol Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the PMR and the Military Institute of the Ministry of Defense of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. Invitation cards were also presented to representatives of a number of public organizations of the republic.

Alexander Rosenbaum welcoming the audience said that he had been to Pridnestrovie more than a quarter of a century ago.

Those who were lucky enough to get to the concert in 1996 remember that the hall could not accommodate everyone at that time. Today, there are no less admirers of the talent of the singer-songwriter Rosenbaum. The pandemic restrictions demanded that the audience be reduced as much as possible. Alexander Rosenbaum insisted that there be people in uniform in the hall. The audience, including veterans of the Afghan war, listened to the "Black Tulip" while standing, not ashamed of tears.

The people's artist said that the Pridnestrovian land is close to him. His maternal ancestors are from here. Another branch of the family tree of Alexander Rosenbaum is forever associated with Leningrad. The performer dedicated a song to the blockade of the heroic city during the Great Patriotic War.

The concert featured world-famous works that united more than one generation, as well as premieres. The musical accompaniment was minimal: the artist sang mainly to the accompaniment of his own guitar, read poetry. He shared his memories and, most importantly, his talent - in all its richness and diversity.

The President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic was present in the hall of the Palace of the Republic. Vadim Krasnoselsky went up on stage to personally thank the artist. The PMR President presented Alexander Rosenbaum with a document on awarding him the title of "People's Artist of the PMR". Alexander Rosenbaum, expressing gratitude to all the Pridnestrovian people, emphasized that the awarded honorary title for him is an advance payment, groundwork for further creativity. The artist assured the Pridnestrovians that he would do everything in his power to strengthen friendship between peoples and Pridnestrovian-Russian ties.

Vadim Krasnoselsky shared his memories of the first meeting with a famous artist and how he wanted Alexander Rosenbaum to get acquainted with modern Pridnestrovie. “We met quite by chance on the plane on the Chisinau-Moscow flight, we got to talking. I then heard your impressions of Pridnestrovie in those 1990s. Unfortunately, we all including Pridnestrovie experienced the dashing 1990s after the collapse of the Soviet Union especially after the hostilities. I felt really offended as a true patriot of Pridnestrovie that the memories are just like that. I began to tell, invited you to us to show what today's Pridnestrovie is, of course. We sacredly preserve the history of the Russian Empire, the Soviet Union, and our ancestors. We hate, sincerely hate those who destroyed the Soviet Union, who trampled on the memory of the Leningraders who died of hunger, those who burned in tanks, planes, died in the trenches, drowned in the sea. They trampled on this memory, abused it. The Pridnestrovian people are unique in that here, in Pridnestrovie, we did not defend the Soviet Union by talking in the kitchen, as others did, but openly, publicly, in the squares, through strikes, defended our right to live in the Soviet Union. We honor the memory of our ancestors, we remain faithful to our roots even now. Yesterday's events are an example of this,” the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic noted.

The President said that since his youth he has been an admirer of the talent of Alexander Rosenbaum: he listened to his music from his school years and read his texts. Discussing the secret of their creation, Vadim Krasnoselsky expressed confidence that the matter was in an amazing combination of rare talent and special spiritual depth, understanding of what the author writes about. “You are, of course, a man of flesh and blood. But here's the depth... How can one person create so many texts of different content, covering the fate of people, states, eras, and clearly say what we need to hear? How? Of course, talent, but talent is not enough. I know a lot of talented people, but absolutely flat. You have not just a talent, you have a deep understanding of the life of a sincere, spiritual, honest person with a steel character and core. This symbiosis of talent and inner qualities allows you to write sincere texts, reach out to the human soul, characterize both events and heroes quite correctly. Thank you,” said Vadim Krasnoselsky, addressing Alexander Rosenbaum.
