The Union of Industrialists, Agrarians and Entrepreneurs has existed in Pridnestrovie for two decades. The congress is organized for the third time. In addition to delegates of more than fifty enterprises of the republic, the President, heads of legislative and executive authorities, members of public organizations, representatives of vocational education institutions, and foreign guests are invited for participation. An essentially reporting and elective event was held at the Elektromash plant, in the assembly hall, where more than three hundred participants (269 seats) and guests of the congress gathered. Chairman of the Council of the Union of Industrialists, Agrarians and Entrepreneurs of Pridnestrovie Anatoly Belitchenko addressed them with a welcoming speech.
The speech of the Executive Director of the Union of Industrialists, Agrarians and Entrepreneurs of Pridnestrovie Yuri Cheban had reporting character. He drew attention to the fact that the current congress is held with the participation of representatives of the Union of Enterprises of the Construction Industry and the Association of Pridnestrovians. The speaker spoke both about the difficulties that have to be overcome, and about the achievements of the organization, especially noting the close and effective interaction of recent years with the country's leadership, lawmakers, the banking sector, and customs structures. Important role is assigned to Yuri Cheban Union in the development of the Pridnestrovian Industrial Policy Concept (proposals from SPAPP were sent to the Government). It was about work aimed at providing professional personnel for the real sector of the economy, consolidating able-bodied youth in the republic, and developing and supporting business. Yuri Cheban named specific figures illustrating the growth of incomes of workers in industrial enterprises. The executive director of of the Union of Industrialists, Agrarians and Entrepreneurs of Pridnestrovie recalled the collective work to improve labor legislation. He mentioned the general agreement on social partnership signed by the PMR Government, the Union of Industrialists, Agrarians and Entrepreneurs of Pridnestrovie and Union Federation of Pridnestrovie spoke about foreign contacts in various areas, expressing gratitude to international partners. The work plans for the future are also indicated.
The assessment of the Union of Industrialists, Agrarians and Entrepreneurs of Pridnestrovie was given by the PMR President. Vadim Krasnoselsky said that two decades of the Union’s existence is a sufficient period for summing up the results, not only of the organization’s work, but also of the development of the republic’s economy. The President considers that the agro-industrial potential of Pridnestrovie is great: both the post-Soviet heritage, which the Pridnestrovians managed to preserve and increase, are significant, as well as modern opportunities. Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled 13,000 jobs created in the real sector of the economy over the past three years, new industries, and growing GDP - all under conditions that are traditionally assessed as difficult. The PMR President mentioned the restrictive measures taken by neighboring Moldova that could not be reasonably explained, informing the congress participants about the meeting planned for today, which would be devoted to foreign policy activities, in particular the work of relevant expert groups.
Returning to the economy, Vadim Krasnoselsky focused on a wide range of export-import cooperation of Pridnestrovie: the republic maintains trade relations with 90 countries of the world. The PMR President considers it important to increase exports in the Russian direction. In his opinion, it is necessary to strive for a balanced supply of Pridnestrovian products to the EU and the Russian Federation, which minimizes dependence on specific markets. The President considers self-sufficiency to be the most important component of the country's economic security. The republic is able to feed itself, the maximum task is to fill the food basket with products of its own production, and it is feasible, Vadim Krasnoselsky is sure.
The President spoke about the consolidation of Pridnestrovian society as a whole and about the effective interaction of the Union of Industrialists, Agrarians and Entrepreneurs of Pridnestrovie with state bodies. Vadim Krasnoselsky thanked everyone who is trying to make Pridnestrovie more beautiful and comfortable.
On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Union of Industrialists, Agrarians and Entrepreneurs of Pridnestrovie, the President presented a number of state awards. The Union of Industrialists, Agrarians and Entrepreneurs of Pridnestrovie was awarded the Order of Honor for its contribution to the development of the economy of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, the expansion of foreign economic and partnership relations.
Delegates will have to approve the new edition of the charter of the Republican organization of non-profit partnership, which is proposed to be renamed into "The Republican Association of Employers - Union of Industrialists, Agrarians and Entrepreneurs of Pridnestrovie " in the second part of the III Congress of the Union of Industrialists, Agrarians and Entrepreneurs of Pridnestrovie. In addition, it is planned to elect a new Head of the organization, approve the composition of the Council of the Union of Industrialists, Agrarians and Entrepreneurs of Pridnestrovie and specialized commissions, adopt the program document “Priority areas of activity of the Union of Industrialists, Agrarians and Entrepreneurs of Pridnestrovie for 2020-2026” and sign a tripartite agreement, according to which the Union of Industrialists, Agrarians and Entrepreneurs of Pridnestrovie as associate members will include enterprises in the construction and road transport industries.
