Today's meeting of the PMR President with the Deputy Minister of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture is not the first. The interlocutors communicated in the course of the June visit of the PMR President to Moscow. Welcoming Dzhambulat Khatuov, Vadim Krasnoselsky noted how important the interaction on agriculture with the Russian Federation is for Pridnestrovie. He emphasized that agriculture is an important component of the economy for the republic, and its development is one of the priority tasks of the state. The President focused on the fact that the current meeting is a continuation of the productive dialogue that began in the Russian capital with communication with the Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev.
One of the main issues on the work agenda is progress in the work on the draft strategy for the development of Pridnestrovian land reclamation complex. Russian colleagues are actively involved in it, the deputy head of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture noted. According to him, the preparatory phase is almost completed. The financing and implementation of the project is expected to begin next year.
The interlocutors also spoke about the development of a number of subsectors of agriculture - fruit and berry production and livestock breeding, as well as about such a direction as breeding activity.
The meeting participants discussed specific initiatives, exchanged views, outlined plans for further cooperation.
