Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Republic of Moldova Anna Liberg headed the delegation that arrived at the meeting with the PMR President. She said that she had repeatedly been in Pridnestrovie in various posts. Recent visit was related to the launch of Startup Academy project. Today, foreign diplomats are counting on discussing Pridnestrovian-Swedish cooperation in various spheres as well as the progress of negotiation process in the format of the “Permanent Conference ...”.
Vadim Krasnoselsky, welcoming the guests, noted that Pridnestrovie and Sweden are linked by long-standing cultural, humanitarian and economic ties, which the Pridnestrovian side is hoping to strengthen and develop. As for the work of the “5 + 2” format, in which Sweden is also a member, as a representative of the European Union, the Pridnestrovian leadership expressed its readiness to state its position on all issues of interest. The Ambassador, noting the clear progress in the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and Moldova, indicated interest in obtaining the maximum possible amount of information from the original source. At the same time, Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that, before assessing the current situation and the prospects for its further development, it is advisable to study the history of Pridnestrovian-Moldovan relations.
The interlocutors discussed topical issues of the negotiation agenda and bilateral Pridnestrovian -Swedish cooperation. It was agreed to continue constructive interaction, based on open dialogue.
