Farewell to Maslenitsa took place in the Park of Alexander Nevsky in Bendery on a grand scale. The park was visited by several thousand guests, the PMR President with his family was among the guests. They were greeted at the entrance by skomorokhs with treats, greetings and invitations.
Songs in Russian, Ukrainian and Moldavian languages were performed by creative teams, traditional Maslenitsa games and fun were held at the territory of the park today. Vadim Krasnoselsky visited the thematic exhibition of creative works dedicated to Maslenitsa. The exhibits are made by teachers and students of educational institutions from Bendery. Everyone could taste pancakes and take part in master classes on painting matryoshka, making mini Maslenitsa scarecrow and felting from wool this day.
Maslenitsa festivities in the Park of Alexander Nevsky will be continued until the evening and will be finished with traditional Maslenitsa scarecrow burning and festive salute.
