The PMR Law “On additional measures aimed at stabilizing the economy of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic” has been in force since 2016. As necessary, adjustments were made to the document. The next list of additions and changes was introduced on May 27 of the current year. Today, the legislative initiative adopted by the Supreme Council was signed by the PMR President. The possibility of extending the terms of payment of various kinds of loans issued under preferential lending programs for business entities working in the agricultural sector, exemption from the payment of part of land tax, share fees, tax on potential annual income of peasant farms, as well as temporary exemption from the obligation to pay rent in respect of lands on which more than half of the crop was lost due to drought is enshrined in the law.
The law, created to support Pridnestrovian farmers affected by the adverse agro-climatic conditions 2019-2020, as well as due to restrictions introduced in connection with the prevention of the spread of coronavirus in the PMR, comes into force from the day following the day of its official publication.
