Pridnestrovie marks the 29th anniversary of the start of the joint peacekeeping operation. The events take place at various venues. Meeting began at the Arch of Peace at eight o'clock in the morning. The construction, named "Blessed are the peacekeepers", was installed in the village of Parkany in 2017 on the occasion of the quarter-century anniversary of the peacekeeping operation on the Dniester. Vadim Krasnoselsky took part in the opening ceremony then. He takes part in official events there every year on July 29.
Addressing the participants of today's rally, the PMR President noted: “Exactly 29 years ago, after the signing of the agreement on the settlement of the Pridnestrovian conflict the peacekeepers of the Russian Federation entered Pridnestrovie on July 29. This peacekeeping mission was transformed into joint peacekeeping, the essence of which is that peacekeepers of Russia, peacekeepers of Pridnestrovie and peacekeepers of Moldova take part in the protection of peace and quiet. The result of this operation is completely obvious to me personally. This is the preservation of peace in the fertile Pridnestrovian land. Peacekeepers brought peace not only to the land of Pridnestrovie, and they brought peace to every family of our republic, every citizen. Peacemakers guarantee stability, the ability to speak our own language, freedom of religion. There is no politicization of relations on the part of the peacekeepers, it is important to note this. Naturally, peacekeepers enjoy respect and love from the people of Pridnestrovie. In fact, the peacemaker has become one of the symbols of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, its integral part".
Vadim Krasnoselsky expressed gratitude to the peacekeepers for their service and preservation of peace, urged not to pay attention to any kind of aggressive attacks in their direction.
The PMR President laid flowers at the Arch of Peace. The meeting ended with a solemn march of parade of the PMR Guard of Honor Company, the Peacekeeping Forces of Pridnestrovie and the Russian Federation.
The ceremony of laying flowers at the Bendery Memorial of Memory and Sorrow continued the solemn events on the occasion of the 29th anniversary of the entry of the joint Peacekeeping Forces to Pridnestrovie. The PMR President as well as the heads of state authorities and administrations of the republic, representatives of the command of the RF Ministry of Defense, and the public arrived there. Vadim Krasnoselsky presented state awards to the peacekeepers. Then the participants of the event went to the memorial sign "Dove of Peace", installed in Bendery in July 2012 in honor of the 20th anniversary of the peacekeeping operation. This monument was created at the expense of the people of Bendery, who thus expressed gratitude to those who brought and protects peace in Pridnestrovie. Vadim Krasnoselsky lowered a scattering of carnations to the pedestal On behalf of all residents of the republic.
