"The President's Family for Healthy Lifestyle" traditional fifth dragon boat regatta took place in Tiraspol. The two-day event was held at the rowing center of Tiraspol. Spectators can watch the race from the city beach. Teams representing government agencies, institutions, businesses, organizations, and public associations, as well as students, cadets, Suvorov military school pupils, and schoolchildren, participated in the competition. There are six groups totally. The regulations are standard: a qualifying handicap, a knockout race for the top spot in their group, and a competition for the Super Cup. Some experienced competitors and established crews are participating, but there are many newcomers as well. 44 paired are scheduled for today: 23 preliminary, 9 reassuring, and 12 quarterfinal. Twenty-four crews will continue the competition tomorrow. The parade of participants was received by PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky. He is not only the initiator of the project but also a frequent participant in regattas. Vadim Krasnoselsky is also the President of the PMR Rowing Federation. Welcoming the teams, Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized his pleasure at the fact that rowing in general, and its most democratic form dragon boat rowing has caught the attention of many Pridnestrovians and is actively developing both professionally and among amateurs. The PMR President noted that training and participation in competitions erase age and status barriers. The president emphasized that everyone is equal on the water. He wished the teams a good mood, an easy start, and a successful finish.
The President's wife Svetlana Krasnoselskaya, who has also previously participated in various regattas, congratulated each participant on their victory before the start, believing that winners are everyone who trains and competes. Svetlana Krasnoselskaya expressed confidence that every training session is a manifestation of strength, will, and discipline. Her wish is for easy sailing and for achievements to exceed expectations.
Before the event, a special stamping ceremony for the commemorative envelope for "The President's Family for Healthy Lifestyle" the 5th Regatta took place. Vadim Krasnoselsky and Svetlana Krasnoselskaya were the first to affix the stamps. Members of the country's leadership crew then performed this honorable mission. Each team will be given this opportunity throughout the day. The total print run is 170 envelopes.
