Meeting of the PMR President with Russian diplomats was held in Tiraspol

Meeting of the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky with Russian diplomats as part of two delegations took place at the presidential executive office. One delegation was headed by the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the OSCE Alexander Lukashevich, the other was headed by Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Vitaly Tryapitsyn. The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Moldova Oleg Vasnetsov, the Co-Chairman of the JCC from Russia Alexander Andreev and others. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vitaly Ignatiev participated in the working discussion from the Pridnestrovian side.

Welcoming the guests, Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized the importance of direct dialogue, expressing hope that the upcoming conversation would be productive. The agenda is full, the current state of affairs in the republic is complicated by the situation along its perimeter, the PMR President noted. Vadim Krasnoselsky singled out among the issues requiring detailed discussion the security of citizens and guests of the republic, the need to intensify the negotiation process, the adoption by Moldova of the so-called law on separatism, the preservation of existing peacekeeping mechanisms, and the building up of Pridnestrovian-Russian cooperation in humanitarian areas. A special place on the agenda is occupied by the subject of prevented terrorist attacks, since among the participants of the meeting there are officials representing the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, against whose members a terrorist act was planned.

Alexander Lukashevich emphasized in turn that one of the most important tasks that the members of the delegation he leads is to find out on the spot how functional the work of the OSCE Mission in this sphere is. The diplomat mentioned the statements made in December 2021 in Stockholm in the course of the meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council on the need to intensify the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and Moldova. The Russian diplomat spoke about the working meeting with the Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Kelly Keiderling, noting that today's conversation is significant for understanding the overall picture, a comprehensive analysis and assessment of the situation.
