Vadim Krasnoselsky discussed with representatives of the Ukrainian public the question of organizing the election of the Head of the Ukrainian State on the territory of Pridnestrovie

The dialogue with representatives of the Ukrainian public took place in the PMR President’s office. It was about the upcoming presidential election: on the 31st of March Ukrainians will determine who will lead the country. Vadim Krasnoselsky in this regard noted that position of Pridnestrovie is unchanged: the republic respects and recognizes the choice of the people and will build a constructive dialogue with the elected leadership of Ukraine, maintaining and developing good neighborly relations, regardless of which candidate is elected President of this state.

More than 50 thousand citizens of Ukraine live in Pridnestrovie, having the right to vote, it was noted during the meeting. The PMR President is addressed an appeal, the essence of which comes down to a request to assist in organization of electoral procedures. Vadim Krasnoselsky, noting that the leadership of the republic will assist the holding of elections, emphasized that the main role is played by public organizations representing the interests of Pridnestrovian Ukrainians.

Vladimir Fomenko, head of the Ukrainian “Collaboration” center, and Chairman of the Union of Ukrainians in Pridnestrovie Peter Bogutsky thanked Vadim Krasnoselsky for their attention to the events taking place in the neighboring state and for the support provided to create conditions for free expression of opinions of citizens of Ukraine residing in Pridnestrovie.

The interlocutors agreed to continue interaction on all relevant issues of mutual interest.
