The international meeting participants outlined their positions

The traditional regulation of international meetings involves the participation of the media in the protocol part of the event. Members of the delegations of Pridnestrovie and the OSCE exchanged greetings in the presence of media representatives. The leaders introduced their colleagues and outlined what they expect from today's meeting.

Vadim Krasnoselsky expressed gratitude to foreign guests for their attention to the republic and the problems faced by Pridnestrovie. The PMR President called the current visit of the representatives of the OSCE representatives necessary, emphasizing that its importance is growing due to the geopolitical situation around the republic. Vadim Krasnoselsky assessed it as explosive. “We are witnessing in these difficult conditions the stagnation of the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and Moldova. The “5+2” format practically does not work, Moldova does not fulfill its obligations under the “Berlin” and “Berlin+” protocols. Moldova in addition has adopted a law on separatism that has a negative impact on the negotiation process in my opinion. Not to mention the fact that this law endangers the life, health and freedom of Pridnestrovians,” said Vadim Krasnoselsky.

The PMR President expressed hope that it would be possible during the OSCE Chairmanship of North Macedonia to resume the full-fledged work of the “5+2” format, which is the most important negotiating platform, according to Vadim Krasnoselsky.

Bujar Osmani in turn spoke about his contacts with public members, emphasizing the importance of direct interaction with civil society. The OSCE Chairman-in-Office noted that the peculiar slogan of the Chairmanship is that it is about people, about how we can improve the situation, people's lives, how we can solve what worries them, in the end it does not matter whether we are politicians or heads of any institutions, we all work for people. Bujar Osmani emphasized that this principle underlies the settlement of the Moldo-Pridnestrovian issue. The diplomat spoke about the importance of maintaining the format of the "Permanent Conference..." in the most difficult geopolitical realities, and expressed gratitude to Pridnestrovie for the support of Ukrainian citizens temporarily staying on the territory of Pridnestrovie. Bujar Osmani considers that the negotiation process should continue - both in the "5 + 2" or "1 + 1" format, and at the level of expert (working) groups.

The European politician spoke about the discriminatory legislative innovations of Moldova, infringing on the rights and freedoms of Pridnestrovians. Bujar Osmani said that he raised this issue today in the conversations that took place in Chisinau and clearly said that, despite the fact that we recognize the concern about security issues, but still such legislation should not be enacted if it could adversely affect to the negotiation process. He emphasized that the OSCE is ready to actively participate in the process of building trust between the parties.

The interlocutors expressed their readiness to discuss topical issues of the negotiation agenda in its entirety and interest in hearing the positions of the parties in order to develop effective solutions.

The meeting of the delegations of Pridnestrovie and the OSCE continued without mass media participation.
