A holiday, symbolizing the end of winter and the beginning of spring, Maslenitsa was celebrated by Pridnestrovians this week. Maslenitsa festivities passed all over the republic. The center of the capital of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic became the venue of the Great Maslenitsa holiday the last day before the beginning of lenten. The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky visited the event.
Diverse program was presented to the attention of Tiraspol residents and guests of the capital. There were several music venues in the center of Tiraspol. Guests of the festival took part in Maslenitsa amusements and sports competitions. Exhibitions and sales of decorative arts and crafts, photo zones, trading platforms, master classes will be held in the center of the capital all day long.
The holiday will end with traditional Maslenitsa scarecrow burning.
