Vadim Krasnoselsky gathered the heads of religious organizations of Pridnestrovie at the discussion table

Meeting of the republic religious organizations representatives was held on the initiative of the PMR President. Interlocutors of the President: Archbishop Sawa of Tiraspol and Dubossary and First Assistant to the Ruling Bishop Ioan Danilescu, Priest of the Russian Orthodox Old Believer Church Andrei Kostromin and Deputy Chairman of the Old Believer community in the village of Bychok Igor Akimov, Father Zdislav (Shmertka), representing the parish of the Holy Trinity of the Roman Catholic Church, pastor of the parish Roman Catholic Church of the Exaltation of the Cross Vladimir Belokonny, Bishop of the Evangelical Baptist Churches of Pridnestrovie Petr Kuzminsky and pastor of the Bendery Baptist Church Petr Korotash. Vadim Krasnoselsky invited his adviser in charge of the religious direction Peter Zalozhkov to the conversation.

Exchanging greetings, the participants of the meeting noted its significance and relevance, especially on the eve of the New Year and Christmas holidays. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that this holiday is a unifying holiday despite the fact that representatives of different faiths follow their traditions and celebrate Christmas on different days. The President focused on the fact that Pridnestrovie is an example of peaceful, based on mutual respect, cohabitation of representatives of several dozen nationalities and various religions despite the international non-recognition of the state. The President is sure that it doesn't matter through what confession a person came to God, what matters is his faith as such. Vadim Krasnoselsky considers religion to be part of history and cultural heritage.

The interlocutors spoke not only about interfaith interaction, but also about the relationship between church and state, noting the harmony and effectiveness of cooperation. The meeting participants discussed current issues and plans for the future. Some proposals were voiced, design developments were presented.
