Residents of Bendery are celebrating the 615th anniversary of the first chronicle mention of the city. The program of festive events is intense and scheduled for several days. The anniversary of the town is celebrated with infrastructural updates. After a large-scale reconstruction, Sovetskaya Street returned to busy network. Comfortable and modern conditions for the movement of vehicles and pedestrians have been created here, recreational areas and parking spaces have been landscaped. All utility networks have been updated. The street is paved with paving slabs – the covering is approximately 5130 square meters. The transformation of public space is radical in general.
The PMR President personally supervised the implementation of a significant project aimed at improving the urban environment throughout the entire repair and construction period. Today the President is again in Sovetskaya Street – this time not on an inspection visit, but on a holiday visit. Vadim Krasnoselsky, accompanied by his wife, together with the city leadership and representatives of government bodies, inspected the modernized facility and assessed the results of the work done. The start of traffic along the reconstructed section of the street was given by young inspectors and child motorists. An exhibition of vintage cars was organized at a specially designated area.
