Orthodox Christians celebrated today Savior of the Honey Feast Day. A significant event – the consecration and hoisting of the cross on the central dome of the temple under construction coincided with this holiday in Pervomaisk. The church, which was given the name of the Miracle of the Archangel Michael in Chonae, is being built in the village park. Construction work is almost completed. The crowning of the dome with a cross was held with the participation of local residents, the leadership of the village and the district. Vadim Krasnoselsky with his wife took part in the ceremony. The festive litiya was held by the Archbishop of Tiraspol and Dubossary Sawa. Vladyka called the domed cross a church beauty, and its erection a historical event. The Archbishop expressed his gratitude to the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky for supporting the idea of building a temple and assisting at all stages of its implementation.
The President congratulated everyone on the holiday. Vadim Krasnoselsky considers the erection of the temple an important event for the settlement. He expressed confidence that the memory will forever remain in the hearts of all the participants of today's event. The PMR President recalled that the residents of Pervomaisk asked for the construction of the temple, emphasizing that the task of the country's leadership is to hear people and move in the direction indicated by citizens. Vadim Krasnoselsky said that the trials that Pridnestrovians have to overcome do not hinder, but, on the contrary, spur into construction of churches. The President expressed hope that the Christmas service would be held inside the church. The iconostasis is expected to be completed by the end of autumn. A big holiday is planned, an important component of which will be the opening of the church on November 21, the Feast of St. Michael.
Vadim Krasnoselsky thanked the representatives of the Tiraspol-Dubossary diocese, the administration of the village and the district, the builders involved in the facility. He addressed the Cossacks present at the event with a request to defend the temple.
Vadim Krasnoselsky with his wife examined the temple from the inside at the end of the ceremony of erecting the cross. The President discussed plans for further work with the head of the Slobodzeya district and heads of contractors.
