Celebration was held on the open stage area of the Catherine Park for married couples, the strength of the bonds of marriage which has been tested by time. The solemn event is dedicated to the Day of family, love and fidelity. It was planned to be held on the 8th of July as thematic festival in general, but the weather decided otherwise. The celebration was postponed, increasing the duration of the family life of the anniversaries by another week because of the rain.
The Krasnoselsky spouses addressed the congratulations to the awarded and to all Pridnestrovians who respect true family values.
“There are dates that divide fate into “before” and “after” in the life of any state, society, people. Each person, each of us has such dates, significant dates. I am deeply convinced that this is the date of the creation of the family besides the birthday of course. This event divides the fate of a person into "before" and "after", is projected onto the future and shapes the rest of his life. The family is the union of a man and a woman, which is based on love, nothing without love. There are the concepts of fidelity, mutual understanding, respect for each other, elementary human family wisdom in addition to love, which allow you to save love and all those feelings that were at the time of the creation of the family. Children, grandchildren are continuation. I am extremely harsh towards people who say, “we used to be ... but the youth is not the same today ...” It's all wrong. Youth, children are a reflection of families, their values, their traditions, family education. First of all, you need to work on yourself, try to make life better. People come to planet Earth not to fight, to slander, to be hypocritical. People come to planet Earth to make life better, happier for their soulmate, for their children and grandchildren, for their loved ones. And then – as the Lord will give. This is the task that we must all perform. Then the world around us, I assure you, will be much better, cleaner, filled with love. Dear friends, couples, veterans of family life, I want to wish you love at any age, understanding, respect, wisdom, health and peace, peace to Pridnestrovie,” said the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky.
“Our today's holiday began with the words of a girl who in my opinion said probably the most important words that life, family is a school of love. Please think about these words. A family of two halves is created: a man in love, a girl in love. They have children, grow up, then grandchildren appear. The most important thing in all this is the school, this is continuity. First, a man and a woman, we learn to love each other, then we learn to love, to love our children correctly. Then we teach children to love their parents, grandparents correctly. Then we have grandchildren – this is a new side of life, sometimes shocking. We are not always ready for it. We are learning again.
Do you know what I discovered for myself, being a mother of children of different ages and already a grandmother? That we have something to learn from children, even grandmothers have something to learn from their grandchildren.
I wish you with all my heart, even our well-deserved anniversaries, who have lived thirty, forty, fifty, sixty years of marriage: learn from your grandchildren, from your great-grandchildren – purity, sincere love, delight in the world around you. Learn and do not forget that your soul in principle is as pure and sparkling as that of children. Then we will be closer to them. Then we will carry this school of mutual exchange of love throughout our lives. It seems to me that every family and the whole world will only benefit from this. I wish you sparkling, honest, pure, open love,” wished Svetlana Krasnoselskaya.
The PMR President and his wife presented flowers and gifts to the golden anniversaries: Anatoly and Svetlana Ostritsky, the Panovs – Gennady and Valentina, Stepan Zhelyaskov and his wife Nadezhda. The marriage of each of these couples has been going on for half a century. The family of Moskalenko received presidential congratulations. This wedding anniversary is sapphire – 45 years of marriage for Vasily and Alla.
Flowers and gifts were presented to other couples during the solemn event. Some of them were awarded the honorary medal "For Love and Fidelity".
The performances of creative teams of the republic gave a special festive atmosphere to the solemn event.
