The President held a meeting on the planned reconstruction of the infrastructure of the Republican Clinical Hospital. Vadim Krasnoselsky invited representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Health, the Republican Clinical Hospital and the Design Institute to the discussion.
The Republican Clinical Hospital is gradually being filled with new facilities, the territory is being put in order. There are a dozen buildings now, most of which require repair. A serious problem is the location of buildings at a distance from each other. Inefficient routing complicates the process of prompt medical care. It is necessary to change the logistics, and it will be necessary for this to make adjustments to the functional use of buildings – both medical and administrative. The head physician of the Republican Clinical Hospital Igor Tostanovskiy considers that it is not advisable to start “resettlement” with the current provision of premises. The first step should be the construction of a new building. It is assumed that it will be six-story. When combined with a common canopy and covered passages with the admissions department and the recently erected surgery building, a kind of core of the medical part of the medical facility will be obtained. They want to take the basement floor of the new building for a laboratory and a pharmacy. A zone for administrative and economic activities and a sector for outpatient services will be located on the basis of available buildings.
All this is just a design development. This is how the management of the hospital sees the reconstruction. The Ministry of Health supports the proposal. This initiative was discussed in the course of the meeting under the President. The PMR President generally welcomes the idea. He outlined his vision of the modern arrangement of the main republican medical institution, emphasizing that when developing a project, the opinion of the main users of the infrastructure, the employees of the Republican Clinical Hospital should be taken into account in the first place.
The timing of the implementation of the plan has not yet been discussed. The task was set to work out the project in detail having calculated the upcoming costs.
