Reconstructed center for social and psychological rehabilitation of children with special needs will be opened in Dubossary by September of this year. The visit is another point of the President’s inspection tour. The center has been operating for 14 years. Its pupils are children who are diagnosed with autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, epilepsy, mental retardation.
The construction of the new center building by means of the implementation of the capital investment program began in 2018. Today it is almost over - it remains to carry out finishing work, to buy equipment and furniture. The Head of the institution Svetlana Zavtur spoke in detail about the stages of reconstruction of the premises, showed where it is planned to place classrooms, sleeping areas, game centers. The institution has rooms for hydropathic center (with 70 cm deep pool and hydromassage), physiotherapy, hospital for treatment and rehabilitation for children with special needs from Dubossary and children from other regions of the republic.
The four-story building of the central Dubossary polyclinic needs capital repairs. 84 people work here, including medical and nursing staff.
Large-scale repair work has not been carried out in the polyclinic building since its commissioning in 1973. Window and door blocks were replaced in 2015. At the expense of the funds of the fund of capital investment program, overhaul of the roof and drainage system was made in 2019. It is planned to allocate funds from the capital investment fund for reconstruction and repair of the premises of the clinic in 2021 - 8 million rubles. It is necessary to repair the building facades, water supply systems, electrical communications. The fire system needs to be restored.
