Conversation of the PMR leadership with the OSCE representatives was organized in the form of videoconference. The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky, the PMR Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev, the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Thomas Mayer-Harting and the Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Klaus Neukirch took part in it. After exchanging greetings, the interlocutors discussed the coronavirus situation in the world. It was noted that Pridnestrovie is successfully coping with this international test: the spread of the disease and mortality among carriers of COVID-19 in the republic are low, treatment is effective (the proportion of those who recovered exceeds 84% of the number of cases).
The main topic of the working discussion was the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and Moldova. They talked about the need to activate it. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that it is important for him and for the entire Pridnestrovian people that the agreements that they manage to achieve are implemented and become the norm of citizens' life, and not remain words on paper. Thomas Mayer-Harting, in turn, noted that the Europeans are closely watching the progress of the negotiations and are taking part in it. The Austrian diplomat emphasized that he welcomes the aspiration of the leadership of Pridnestrovie and Moldova to continue the dialogue at the highest level and, together with his colleagues, will wait for the results of the upcoming meeting between Vadim Krasnoselsky and Igor Dodon. The Special Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office said that European observers have a number of proposals for filling and implementing the negotiating agenda. Vadim Krasnoselsky stressed that he would study all the initiatives with interest and attention.
The participants of the videoconference discussed in detail a wide range of issues related to the work of the "5 + 2" format.
