The delegation of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-Being has been working in Pridnestrovie for the third day. A familiarization meeting between the PMR President and representatives of Rospotrebnadzor took place on May 13. Today, on the initiative of Vadim Krasnoselsky, another working conversation was organized at the presidential executive office. The President, welcoming the interlocutors, noted that the current discussion is intended to become more substantive, as Russian experts have already visited many facilities and can give a reasonable assessment of the anticoronavirus activity carried out in Pridnestrovie. Tatyana Ruzhentsova, the Head of the Clinical Research Department of the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology, Federal State Budgetary Institution, noted with satisfaction that Pridnestrovian doctors and other services involved in the fight against COVID-19 are doing everything possible to prevent the mass spread of coronavirus. Prevention, protective measures, and treatment process are organized in the republic, in her opinion, at a fairly high level. At the same time, there is a shortage of modern equipment in some medical institutions - the limited area of medical institutions. It is noted that in Pridnestrovie today only one patient in a coronavirus hospital needs a mechanical ventilation device. This is a good factor, which indicates the early detection of the virus in citizens and the timeliness of medical care for victims.
Tatyana Krasovskaya, the Head of the sector of the Federal Public Health Institution “Russian Research Anti-Plague Institute “Microbe”, for her part, noted the attentiveness of the medical staff and officials to the comments and recommendations, which, as soon as possible, are being implemented.
The positive response of Russian experts was earned by the Unified Crisis Center, created at the Operational Headquarters at the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The trust of citizens testifies to its importance and effectiveness: during the existence of the hotline, it received over 58000 calls, which are received and processed by specialists from various departments and services.
The interlocutors mentioned the situation at the Neuropsychiatric Boarding House in Bendery, where coronavirus infection was detected. The Rospotrebnadzor experts plan to visit this institution today. Russian experts support the decision of the country's leadership to deploy a COVID center directly in the focal point of infection. During the meeting, they talked about the appropriateness of redistributing the load between hospitals in case of overcrowding of some and empty wards of others. Vadim Krasnoselsky in this regard noted that this practice was taken as a basis in Pridnestrovie, as they are confident that the high workload of hospitals leads to a deterioration in the quality of medical care.
The meeting participants discussed various aspects of anticoronavirus activity, as well as other issues related to medicine and respect for the rights of citizens. Tomorrow the delegation of Rospotrebnadzor will visit the north of the republic. Vadim Krasnoselsky, expressing gratitude for the visit and valuable conversation, noted that the Pridnestrovians will be glad to see Russian guests even after the republic and the world overcome the pandemic.
