The PMR President, being on a working visit to the Russian Capital, met with the Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs Farit Mukhametshin. The statesman of Russia is connected with Pridnestrovie for years of diplomatic interaction: Farit Mukhametshin headed the Russian Embassy in the Republic of Moldova from 2012 to 2018, a frequent guest of Pridnestrovie, is well acquainted with the situation in the republic and abroad, knows firsthand the history of the functioning of the Permanent Conference format .
Today, the interlocutors discussed the current state of affairs in the PMR and around Pridnestrovie in the light of current trends, paying particular attention to the negotiation process. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized the principled focus of Pridnestrovie on a constructive dialogue with Moldova with the aim of an early solution in the interests of people of socio-economic and humanitarian problems. He noted that necessary condition for positive dynamics in the dialogue is the fulfillment by Chisinau of all previously reached agreements.
The meeting participants discussed the state of the peacekeeping operation and ways to support this mechanism, unique in its effectiveness. They also discussed bilateral Russian-Pridnestrovian agenda, which includes a wide range of issues of various orientations.
