“The President's Family for a Healthy Lifestyle” regatta has become traditional – it is being held for the third time in the format of an amateur race on Dragon class boats. The number of participating teams is growing every year. There are more than fifty of them, which means over five hundred people take part in 2024. Teams compete in six groups: law enforcement agencies; enterprises, organizations, institutions; public and administrative authorities; students; schoolchildren; women's teams. The Distance is 300 meters. The competition system provides for a qualifying handicap (determining the best time to complete the competition), then a knockout race in their groups, and then a fight for the strongest (leaders of three adult groups) for the Super Cup. The regatta takes two days. The venue for the competition is the Tiraspol rowing base. Spectators watch the race from the city beach. The event is not only sporting, but also cultural. The organizers have prepared an entertainment program and thought out public catering points.
Participants and guests were greeted and addressed with words of encouragement by the President Vadim Krasnoselsky, the initiator of this project. Vadim Krasnoselsky with his wife took part in the competition previously. The PMR President, who is also the President of the PMR Rowing Federation, is observing the competition this year. Addressing the teams, Vadim Krasnoselsky noted the growing interest in rowing caused by the interdepartmental regatta. He spoke about the democracy and accessibility of this sport, about favorable conditions for its development in Pridnestrovie, as well as about the special character, activity, fortitude, and cohesion of the Pridnestrovian people. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized the importance of supporting mass sports. He drew attention to the different age composition of the regatta participants. The President wished light water and emphasized that in these competitions is not a single team that wins, but sport, health, beauty, and unity.
The team of the PMR President Administration is participating in the regatta on “Dragon” class boats, held on the initiative and under the auspices of the President for the third time. This is a two-time winner, having won the 2022 and 2023 Super Bowls. It competes in the group of public and administrative authorities.
