There were many people on the site in front of the building of the Pridnestrovian State Theater named after Aronetskaya today, despite the fact that the theater season is closed. Officials, teachers and pupils who arrived in the capital from the towns and regions of the republic gathered to participate in the ceremonial presentation of the keys to school buses. 17 vehicles were purchased by the beginning of the 2024-2025 academic year on behalf of the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky: nine GAZ buses, each of which is designed for 16 passengers, and eight PAZ buses with 23 seats. The purchase is targeted: the buses will systematically deliver preschoolers and students of rural schools in Slobodzeya, Grigoriopol, Dubossary, Rybnitsa and Kamenka districts to and from their places of study.
The President handed over the keys to school buses to the heads of state administrations and schoolchildren. Three vehicles were directed to Slobodzeya and Dubossary districts, five to Grigoriopol and Rybnitsa districts, and one bus to Kamenka district. Welcoming the participants of the ceremony, Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled that a third of the population of Pridnestrovie lives in rural areas, and the state makes every effort to ensure that education, general and additional, is of high quality and accessible to every child. The purchased buses will allow three hundred young residents of villages, as well as their teachers, educators, and mentors to travel to schools and kindergartens in comfortable conditions on weekdays, and to participate in various events held outside their settlements on weekends and holidays. The PMR President emphasized that this is not the first and not the last acquisition of this kind, calling today's event another victory and a valuable gift for the upcoming holidays – the Day of Knowledge and the anniversary of the formation of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
