Being on a working visit to Kamenka district, the PMR President paid attention to the main city park named after Wittgenstein. Created two centuries ago, it occupied about three dozen hectares. The park was initially homestead, and later – public and widely known far beyond not only Kamenka, but also the country it fell into decay at the beginning of this century. The object received increased attention in recent years. The PMR President considers Wittgenstein Park not only a leisure site, but also a valuable historical site. Its infrastructure is gradually changing. The park atmosphere of two hundred years ago is preserved at the same time. There is a portrait sculpture of Peter Wittgenstein, the founder of Kamenka, around which the historical and cultural complex has been formed. There is a Glory Memorial, in the center of which is a monument to soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War. The memory of the defenders of Pridnestrovie is lso immortalized. The entrance group has recently been built, the summer stage, rotundas, and bridges have been updated. It was equipped with a children's playground and a rollerdrome. Paths are being put in order, small architectural forms are being changed throughout the park. Green spaces are being updated. Serious work remains to be done to restore the ponds. The dismantling of the bottom slabs and the cutting of emergency trees is underway. There are developments on the creation of a pier and a grotto.
Vadim Krasnoselsky inspected the site allocated for the sports sector of the park. Some adjustments were made to the proposed project on the spot. The sports and gaming zone assumes the presence of a mini-football field, basketball and volleyball court, and an equipped location for workout. Participants of the field meeting discussed options for the execution and placement of spectator stands. They talked about the sources of funding and the timing of implementation, noting that these two aspects were interrelated. The PMR President gave some recommendations and instructions related to the reconstruction of the park of Kamenka.
