The Russian delegation headed by Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Special Representative of the President of Russia for the development of trade and economic relations with Moldova Dmitry Kozak again arrived in Pridnestrovie. He is accompanied by Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev, State Secretary, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Grigory Karasin and other officials representing the Russian Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Finance. The meeting of Vadim Krasnoselsky and Dmitry Kozak held in Bendery is the second in the territory of Pridnestrovie. Previously, the interlocutors repeatedly talked at the site of the Russian government.
This is working visit of the Russians. Its goal is to continue the discussion from the beginning of this month on topical issues on the agenda of Pridnestrovian-Russian interaction, as well as those related to the activities of the “5 + 2” format. They spoke, for example, about peacemaking, noting that the operation that has confirmed its effectiveness for nearly three decades should be continued in its current form. The combination of the work of the Russian, Pridnestrovian and Moldovan peacekeeping forces is a unique and effective mechanism, it was emphasized during the meeting. It was about the activity in the mode of permanent meeting of expert (working) groups. The interlocutors are unanimous in the opinion that their work in these areas should be continued, regardless of the internal political situation. “The agreements reached earlier must be executed by both parties. Many issues of the negotiation agenda are still relevant and require urgent solutions”, said Vadim Krasnoselsky.
Economy is in the priority among the discussed today topics. Attention was paid to the export of Pridnestrovian goods in the Russian direction. Supply to the Russian regions of agricultural products grown in Pridnestrovie is of particular importance at the moment.
At the end of the official part of the meeting, the participants visited one of the Pridnestrovian enterprises - Aquatir LTD. The guests were told about the unique production, based on the sturgeon fish rearing. To date, the assortment of products is more than a hundred positions, told Dmitry Kozak and his colleagues, paying particular attention to the fact that this enterprise is a full-cycle production complex.
