The heads of state administrations of towns and regions of the republic in the course of the video conference informed the President about the current state of affairs on the ground, reported on the implementation of the current capital investment program. Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled the meeting scheduled for Wednesday, which will be dedicated to the Capital Investment Fund 2024 project. The PMR President noted that the preliminary version of the document presented to him needs to be finalized. When compiling the list of objects to be included in the state program for the renovation of social infrastructure, applications were taken into account, the total amount of financing of which would be about 900 million rubles. The funds planned to be allocated from the state budget for these purposes should not exceed 2% of GDP per year, Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled, that is we are talking about a third of this amount. Thus, the Government version of the project is rather a plan for a medium-term, three-year perspective. Such a document is necessary, the PMR President considers. It is necessary to select from the general list of priority objects, the work on which will be carried out in 2024. The heads of state administrations and heads of ministries and departments will defend the participation of specific objects in the next year's capital investment program. This practice has been in place for several years of the existence of the Capital Investment Fund.
The road construction topic was discussed in the course of the meeting. They discussed specific areas – those under repair and those that require urgent attention. Current instructions were given, including those related to a scientific approach to work in the road industry. Vadim Krasnoselsky drew attention to the fact that this area is practically not represented in the field of vocational education, as well as in the research sector. The rector of the Pridnestrovian State University Vladislav Sokolov confirmed that none of the 21 research laboratories of the state university is directly related to the road construction sector. Taking into consideration the high cost of imported oil products necessary for the production of asphalt, and the availability of inert materials used in the road industry, mined in the territory of Pridnestrovie, it is necessary to develop the second direction, the President set the task, emphasizing that this is not about a complete rejection of asphalting, but about a reasonable combination. The Pridnestrovian State University and the Government will have to develop scientifically based production methods for the road industry of the republic, which will take into account current trends and local resource opportunities. It is planned to involve specialists of the Moscow Automobile and Highway State Technical University for cooperation, with which the Pridnestrovian University has established working contacts.
