The issue of reducing the bed capacity of infectious diseases hospitals was discussed in the course of the meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the President. The workload of the network of COVID-hospitals is 58% this morning. Numerous patients release is expected, after which the rate of bed capacity will approach 50%. In this regard, decision was made to close some of the objects. Today, the coronavirus unit is closed on the basis of the psychiatric department of the republican clinical hospital. COVID patients have not been admitted in the Bendery city hospital and the capital's hospital of veterans since the middle of last week, the course of treatment for the infected patients will be completed. When the number of patients is minimized, they will be transferred to other hospitals. The Bendery Mother and Child Center is the next to be closed. It will be necessary to carry out disinfecting measures, which will require additional time to return it to its core functionality. The President emphasized that the further phased closure of branches of infectious diseases hospitals will be possible only on condition that the network load will be no more than half of the reduced bed capacity.
The issue of providing the healthcare system with medicines used in the treatment of coronavirus and personal protective equipment was discussed at the meeting. It concerned nutrition in hospitals. There are complaints about the Republican Clinical Hospital and the hospital in Dubossary. Vadim Krasnoselsky urged to respond to every signal.
Another issue raised by members of the Operational Headquarters is the organization of visits by relatives of citizens in places of detention. Due to quarantine restrictions, prisoners did not have such an opportunity for more than a year. The President considers it possible to resume the practice of short-term meetings - communication in the presence of a separating protective screen. As for long-term visits, it is possible only if the visitor has an up-to-date certificate of PCR testing (valid for 72 hours), according to the President. This is only about those penitentiary institutions without sick citizens, Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized. For example, 98 carriers of the virus are at the Department of Enforcement Punishment 1 at the moment. The final decision on this issue will be made by the Operational Headquarters after receiving the conclusion of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Station.
The chief sanitary doctor will have to comment on the possibility of conducting practical classes for students of secondary and higher professional educational institutions. These and other issues are resolved in working order.
