Continuing decline in the incidence of coronavirus among Pridnestrovians was discussed in the course of the meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the PMR President for prevention of the spread of coronavirus. The average daily statistics of the past week - 56 cases, the previous figure was at the level of 78 detected cases of infection per day. The hospital network workload is 35%, taking into account the currently closed infectious hospital, which operated on the basis of the Center for Mother and Child in Bendery. About 1.5 thousand beds in total in five hospitals are ready to receive COVID patients at the moment. The next will return to the main - pre-pandemic - functionality of the surgical department of the Republican Clinical Hospital, located in the new building of the hospital with keeping or improvement of the epidemiological situation.
Progress in citizens’ vaccinating was discussed at the meeting. The President considers it right not to be limited to the available medicines, but to provide residents of the republic with the opportunity to choose from certified vaccines. Negotiations are underway to purchase not only Russian vaccine, but also a well-proven Chinese-made. The cost of one bottle is 7 conventional units. The vaccine is two-component. The Government has been instructed to reserve funds for the purchase of 50,000 pair courses.
Resumption of the activities of cultural institutions was among the topics discussed by members of the Operational Headquarters. In general, the meeting participants consider it possible to return them to service, but with strict observance of sanitary and epidemiological requirements. The decision on each specific object will be made by the commission. Concerning mass cultural events: their holding is permissible only in open areas. We are also talking about graduation parties. Heads of State Administrations were instructed to think over and prepare the appropriate zones and develop scenarios for the celebration taking into account this feature. Weekend fairs will also resume in compliance with the quarantine regulations.
They spoke today about citizens in penitentiary institutions. There are still carriers of the coronavirus there, their treatment is organized on the basis of the institutions of the State Penitentiary Service. Prisoners did not have the opportunity to see their relatives for a long time due to the pandemic. The operational headquarters decided that the practice of dating will be resumed, but subject to the fulfillment of quarantine requirements by visitors, among which is the presence of certificate of absence of COVID-19 (validity period - 72 hours from the date of issue), undergoing medical examination before the meeting, filling out the appropriate content of the questionnaire.
They discussed issues related to the organization of the educational process. It was about the possibility of participation of senior students in industrial practice, as well as the organization of the Unified State Examination for graduates of past years.
