Working discussion with members of the Operational Headquarters

The issues related to expansion of the COVID hospitals network were discussed in the course of the meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the President for prevention of the spread of coronavirus. There are eight specialized hospitals at the moment, 1374 hospital beds are deployed. Its number, taking into account non-medical institutions, is ready to be increased to 3.3 thousand if necessary. A reserve of medical personnel has also been formed. 110 doctors and about three hundred employees from among the middle and junior medical personnel are involved in coronavirus hospitals now. If the hospital network is expanded, 272 doctors and about 700 nurses and orderlies will be involved in its work.

Vadim Krasnoselsky asked about the availability of medicines, protective equipment and tests. Everything necessary for the treatment of patients with COVID-19 and post-coronavirus rehabilitation is in abundance, according to the Minister of Health Christina Albul. A reserve is being formed for the next quarter. The President was interested in the situation with ensuring a comfortable temperature regime in the hospitals. The Head of the Operational Headquarters Vitaly Neagu informed that 160 heaters had been delivered to the hospital. There is a supply of heaters. They will be delivered immediately at the request of medical institutions.

There is a need to expand the staff of crisis centers in Rybnitsa, Kamenka and Slobodzeya districts due to the growing workload associated with an increase in the number of outpatients with COVID-19. In addition, the question of the expediency of involving third-year students of medical colleges in this work was discussed (students of the medical faculty of PSU are involved now).

It was decided to organize the educational process in institutions of secondary and higher professional education remotely, taking into account the dynamics of the incidence in the student environment and the trend towards its further growth. The rule comes into force on the 27th of January. The period is not limited. Further decisions will be made based on the sanitary and epidemiological situation. Schoolchildren and pupils of kindergartens continue to attend educational institutions. At the same time, the Ministry of Education and the Heads of State Administrations were instructed to strengthen control over the implementation of the requirements of the sanitary and epidemiological station. An important aspect that the President focused on was the closure of the group for a two-week quarantine or the transfer of the class to a remote learning system if a carrier of the virus is detected. It was decided as a preventive measure to ban meetings, seminars and other discussion events in the traditional format: only video conferences for now. Information for employers: at least a third of the staff must be transferred to remote work. First of all, these are older employees and citizens with chronic diseases.

The PMR President asked about progress in the vaccination campaign. 35.8% of the adult population of Pridnestrovie was vaccinated. According to the chief sanitary doctor of the republic Natalya Beril, there are currently 282 doses of Pfizer, 28093 of Sinovac, 1918 of Moderna, 71000 units of the first component and 74000 units of the second Russian vaccine Sputnik V.
