Progress in the vaccination of Pridnestrovians was discussed in the course of the meeting of the Operational Headquarters. 2597 people were vaccinated with AstraZeneca, 930 residents of the republic received full course of anti-coronavirus vaccination with Pfizer, 3247 received the first Sputnik V component. Today there are 26 vaccination points. They are located in the polyclinics of Tiraspol and Bendery, in the vaccination rooms of the central regional hospitals of Blizhny Khutor, Kitskany, Ternovka, Sukleia, Parkany, Protyagailovka and Gyska. The number of points can be increased as required. According to the Minister of Health Christina Albul, the interest in the Russian vaccine among the Pridnestrovians is great. It will take about two weeks in her opinion to complete the first stage of mass vaccination (using 31000 double doses).
The President asked about the load on the network of infectious diseases hospitals. The bed capacity is occupied by less than a third. The day before, the coronavirus hospital at the Grigoriopol hospital was closed. The admission of new COVID-patients was stopped by the Bendery Center for Mother and Child. 40 infected citizens are undergoing treatment there. Those of them who do not complete the course of treatment by the end of this week will be transferred from the Mother and Child Center to other COVID hospitals.
The issue of the specialized health care facilities provision with medicines was discussed. There is no shortage. The stocks are replenished based on demand. A batch of the Indian medicine Remdesivir has been delivered to the republic – 1000 bottles. The overall order is much larger. The deliveries will be milestone.
They spoke at the meeting about quarantine measures. In general, restrictions aimed at preventing the spread of a new coronavirus infection in Pridnestrovie are being extended until June 15. The quarantine is mitigated pointwise at the same time. The issue of resuming the activity of cultural objects was discussed today. It was proposed to return to rehearsals from May 17, and two weeks later to performances. So far, the opening of the theater, the Palace of the Republic and, possibly, cinemas is on the agenda. The members of the Operational Headquarters supported the proposal.
Public electric transport is returning to the standard operating mode at the initiative of the President. Trolleybuses will operate according to the schedule that was in effect before the quarantine. Relevant instructions have been given. At the same time, the requirements related to ensuring the safety of citizens remain: stay in the cabin is possible only in a protective mask, the number of passengers is limited by the number of seats.
They also talked at the meeting of the Operational Headquarters about the May holidays in the republic. The President noted the high level of their organization and conduct. He expressed gratitude to everyone who was involved in this work, noting that the main assessment is the opinion of citizens, and it is unambiguous: the events dedicated to the Great Victory Day, as well as Easter events, were organized with high quality.
