Vadim Krasnoselsky, opening the meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the President, congratulated participants of the meeting and all Pridnestrovians on the holidays - the Day of Liberation from the German-Romanian invaders and the Day of Cosmonautics, urging not to forget the veterans. The decision to hold a military parade on May 9 is still in force as for the upcoming Great Victory Day. Prospective participants will be among those who will be given the opportunity to be vaccinated against coronavirus as a matter of priority - any of the vaccines available, including Russia's Sputnik V, which is expected to be delivered in the near future. Vadim Krasnoselsky aimed at the continuation of preparatory measures, taking into account two scenarios.
The President was informed that 1157 Pridnestrovians have been vaccinated with Pfizer and AstraZeneca at the moment. The issue of conditions that must be met during vaccination was also discussed. The Republican Sanitary and Epidemiological Service considers that there is no need for PCR studies of biomaterial samples from potential vaccine recipients, as well as for rapid testing for antigen or antibodies. But medical examination of the vaccinated person before the procedure is mandatory. It also noted that the development of specific immunity begins in vaccinated citizens after the introduction of the first dose of the vaccine. The second is needed to consolidate and maintain persistent post-vaccination immunity.
The President was informed about the provision of the network of infectious diseases hospitals with medicines. The President asked about progress with the restart of the oxygen station in Slobodzeya. According to the Head of the Operational Headquarters Ruslan Mova, the second attempt is planned for today, the need for which is ripe in connection with the failure of the pump. Vadim Krasnoselsky was interested in the work of computed tomographs, the use of which in the fight against coronavirus is an important diagnostic tool. The President was informed that approximately 70 patients have already used the equipment installed in the Dubossary hospital. Vadim Krasnoselsky expressed gratitude to everyone who was involved in the work related to the purchase and installation of equipment, recalling that there were three tomographs at the beginning of the pandemic in the republic, now there are six of them.
The President was informed that 170 out of 325 beds prepared for receiving COVID patients are occupied in the hospital based on the Bendery Center for Mother and Child at the moment. In general, the network of coronavirus hospitals in the republic is 85% full.
The President asked about how the work on the improvement of two squares on the territory of the Republican Clinical Hospital is progressing - in the central part and in front of the building in which the computer tomograph is located. According to the Head physician of the Republican Clinical Hospital Igor Tostanovsky, the clearing of the old plantings is almost complete, additional landscaping is to be carried out.
They talked about putting in order the settlements of Pridnestrovie after winter. The specialists of the Center for Epidemiology are in solidarity with the President that holding clean-ups in the open air in compliance with standard sanitary and epidemiological requirements does not pose a danger to the participants.
