About one and a half thousand hospital beds are occupied. The total workload of the hospital network in its current format exceeds 90%. Experience shows that, if necessary, the quantity of hospital beds can be increased to 2850 units. Now the Tirotex dispensary, as well as the Mother and Child Center in Bendery are being prepared to receive infected patients. The Mother and Child Center in Bendery will accept children with COVID-19 and their parents from all over the republic.
Computer tomograph went out of order in Dubossary. The President instructed to immediately allocate funds for its repair. It will take at least five days to complete the work. Dubossary patients who urgently need computed tomography will be referred to the hospitals in Tiraspol and Rybnitsa during this period.
Vadim Krasnoselsky drew attention of the participants in the meeting of the Operational Headquarters to complaints from citizens regarding the poor conditions of some of the premises of the children's department of the Slobodzeya Hospital. It was explained to the President that in order to carry out repair work, it would be necessary to vacate the wards, which is quite problematic taking into consideration the overcrowding of the hospital. The Minister of Health raised the issue of admitting 3rd and 4th year students of medical colleges to practice. They are limited for the second year in such classes, which is unacceptable when training medical specialists due to the pandemic. The Ministry of Health, together with the Sanitary and Epidemiological Station, was instructed to develop an optimal mechanism. The issue raised by the students of the Faculty of Medicine of Pridnestrovian State Faculty involved in the work of crisis centers was discussed. There are situations when teachers put the so-called absenteeism on students who were not present in the classroom, while on duty at the center. Vadim Krasnoselsky considers such an approach unacceptable, and the position of these teachers is uncivil. The leadership of Pridnestrovian State Faculty was pointed out to the existing problem and instructed to solve it.
The President was informed in the course of the meeting that 50000 COVID tests are expected in the near future. Speaking about health ministry purchases, Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that the pursuit of a lower price should not affect the quality of the purchased products.
