This year, the end of the Maslenitsa (Pancake) week coincided with the first day of spring and the celebration of Martisor. Festivities take place in all the cities of Pridnestrovie. The family of the PMR President took part in the celebration. Vadim Krasnoselsky with his wife and youngest daughter visited the capital square of Suvorov, where the festivities began, which started in Tiraspol at 11:00. The city authorities prepared a cultural and entertainment program for various age categories: performances of the creative teams of the capital, mass folk dances, Pancake week competitions and fun. Farmstead is organized in the center of the square. Various handicraft expositions are presented here, ceramics, paintings painted by the Pridnestrovians with views of their native land, crafts, including symbols of the onset of spring - Martisors.
According to tradition, the culmination of the holiday will be burning of a scarecrow of Maslenitsa.
