Presidential Inspection of the Museum Quarter Construction

The President held an off-site meeting at the site of the Pridnestrovian State Museum. Its infrastructure is being built in the center of the capital – on the basis of a complex of buildings and structures of the Tiraspol United Museum. The name, status and content of the object are changing. Work is underway along the entire line of the museum quarter. The dates for the commissioning of individual elements are different. The first in line are the halls and open areas dedicated to the Great Patriotic War. Their grand opening, timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the Victory, is scheduled for the 9th of May this year. The President was informed today that the general delivery of the project is scheduled for the 5th of May. Vadim Krasnoselsky, accompanied by the head of the city, deputies and other officials responsible for this area, representatives of construction and contracting organizations, military personnel, historians, artists, designers involved in the implementation of the large-scale project, discussed progress in the work, exchanged opinions and proposals. The President, having heard detailed reports, gave a number of recommendations and instructions.

The inspection tour covered not only the museum block of the Great Patriotic War, but other premises as well. The President was shown where the exposition of the MASSR and the Civil War will be located. The funds from the former Kotovsky Museum will also be placed in this hall. It is possible to go to the hall of the history of the Pridnestrovian Cossacks from this room. Materials from the pre-revolutionary period will be placed separately. There will be an ethnographic sector, a nature department, and a religion hall. It was decided to use two small rooms of former service offices for an exhibition of paintings. There are many of them in the storage facility. The exposition will be constantly changing. Vadim Krasnoselsky requested a clear plan for the placement of halls and a visualization of their design.
