Presidential inspection for the Capital

Vadim Krasnoselsky continues the practice of inspection of infrastructure locations that require attention. The President, accompanied by the Head of the Tiraspol administration Oleg Dovgopol and the Head of the Department of Construction, Architecture and Road Facilities Nikolai Obruchkov visited the Aviator Square today. This is a favorite place not only for residents of the Balka microdistrict, but also for all residents of Tiraspol. It is often preferred by families with children. The central element of the square is the MiG-19 or simply “airplane”, installed on a pedestal in 1975, as the townspeople call the obelisk to soldiers-aviators (hence the name of the recreation area), pilots of the 17th Air Army who liberated Tiraspol in 1944. Vadim Krasnoselsky considers it right to organize leisure zones in close proximity to historical sites and monuments, thus making history more accessible to citizens.

The square is small – its length is approximately 100 meters. It is planned to pave the entire area with paving slabs, carry out work on additional landscaping and infrastructural improvement of the site. Special attention will be paid to the creation of playgrounds considering that there are many children among the visitors of the square. The President considers that it should not only be entertaining, but also perform an educational function. Various projects are being discussed. The option of creating a fountain in the Aviator Square is being considered in the longer term.

Another recreational and leisure facility that requires investment of effort and money is the Pobeda Culture and Leisure Park. Despite the creation of new park areas, the attendance of Pobeda Culture and Leisure Park is still high. Numerous cultural events take place here. Citizens expect that this retaining its familiar atmosphere facility will be infrastructurally updated and modernized. The wealth of the park is its green massif. It is preserved by gradually refreshing plantings. Replacement requires covering paths and walking areas. The current tile was laid a quarter of a century ago and has become obsolete. About 10 million rubles will be required for its widespread replacement. It was decided at the first stage to take up the restoration of the central part of the park. The park fountain needs maintenance. The stage will also need to be renovated. The President instructed to prepare design and estimate documentation in order to determine how much work will be completed this year and to outline the stages of further improvement of Pobeda Park.

The PMR President visited the State University today. The university is undergoing renovations. The presidential inspection touched upon "A" and "B" buildings. The choice finishing materials, the technology for performing some work was discussed. The President focused on the fact that all lecture audiences should be preserved. Cabinets and departments are zoned with light partitions. Vadim Krasnoselsky asked about progress in the purchase of furniture and equipment. They discussed issues related to the improvement of the territory adjacent to Pridnestrovian State University. They talked about the necessity of parking.

The President visited the campus. He paid special attention to the church of St. Tatiana. The wooden structure needs to be strengthened. Vadim Krasnoselsky, recalling that today is the day of students and his patroness, conveyed congratulations to the students, noting that the state is doing everything possible to create the most comfortable conditions corresponding to the status of Pridnestrovian State University.
